    Flying through the evening air, we fly over Ciaoland a small suburb of the huge city known as Internet. It is a peaceful place where friendly inhabitants conduct their lives, interacting and swapping opinions as well as discussing happenings in their lives.     A short introduction. I've written quite a few poems and coud not find a category for this one. I have written quite a few sad poems, so felt the need to try something different. I'm updating this for a reason, not to change the poem or to get more ratings, not even to change the spelling mistakes. There is a message to this poem and one I feel is somehow appropiate at the moment. I wrote it a while back in an attempt to put a difficult concept into a poem.     Spring has to be the best time of year. Mostly because summer is just around the corner. When summer arrives you only have autumn and winter to look forward to. How depressing. Actually I quite like autumn and winter. I didn't used to. I always found them hugely depressing. But these days I don't. They're full of beauty, majesty, coldness, warm log fires, days spent indoors writing stuff on your computer, looking out the window at the terrible weather. I definately like the winter.     CUTTING IT Since posting my ‘Can You Cut It’ review on Ciao I have received numerous comments on the short stories and the feedback has been encouragingly positive. So I thought I would see if I could dream up a couple more for your entertainment. In the original article I said that it was quite difficult to write a story with a beginning, middle and end in sixty words or less and I think I really understated that comment.     Doing my usual Google search the other day for some information on family history, I was astounded to find that a gentleman with the same name as my father was indeed another scientist and decided to take a look at his work.
