I played the original Sega Rally back in 1996 on an arcade machine, and loved it. I subsequently bought it for the Sega Saturn in 1997, followed by the superb Sega Rally 2 for the Dreamcast in 2000. In short, it is a series I have always been a fan of, hence it was inevitable that, when I saw Sega Rally (PSP) for £8 in HMV, I was going to be taking it straight to the counter.

Quick race - this is an option to choose if you really just want to get stuck into a race, and try out one of the many tracks available. You will race five cars within the class of car you have chosen.
Championship - You can race in a series of championships against five other competitors.

Advantages: Easy to get into, fun Disadvantages: No depth, in-game physics very unrealistic
The first Sega Rally that was released on a console was a port of the original Sega rally which was released in the arcades.
My first 'next generation' games console was the Sega Saturn, and of course, back then when I heard that Sega Rally was coming to it, I jumped at the chance, and snapped it up as soon as possible.
Now onto the PSP release.
Having also played the dreamcast version of Sega Rally 2, which was a very playable arcade hit conversion, ... ...is my most frequently played games console at present.
The game is very, very, easy to get into, but one thing to note is there isn't much in the variety of game modes - the typical single player championship, time trial, and online multiplayer.
My first (and only) attempt at playing the game was in the championship mode. First impression of the in-game graphics was a pretty good one, colourful; nice selection of cars; good backgrounds.
