It was then that I decided this was the phone we were having!

From a company I have never heard of before, i am that impressed I would go as far as to say I wouldn't think twice about having another phone from them. In fact, they are bringing out a new model soon, the same as this but with a camera for £100. If it works as good as this phone does, then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as a good ...

...and the second was the Sendo P600, but when I used this in the store, I found the keys very duifficult to use. Insted I picked this cheaper offering, which lacked the camera, but had all the features that I want from a phone. Colour screen and polyphonic ringtones.

These are just like the ones on your computer. You can pick one to match your style. This ranges from a space theme to a flower power one. These are really great.
The phone is very easy to use. Everything you need is divided into 6 sections, which are colour coded with a picture on the menu showing you what is found in each section, so finding what ...

...but not Sendo. In fact Sendo has its HQ in sunny Birmingham. Whenever I whip out the clamshell M550 people are baffled by its make, which I think adds to the phone's mystique!
First impressions (which invariably do count) prove promising. Without an external aerial the phone is incredibly compact, measuring in at the size of a credit card, and only about a centimetre deep. The front of the phone boasts a small screen, which lets you know all the ... ...Considering its price of £80, Sendo have managed to squeeze a remarkable array of features into the M550, though admittedly there are not as many as boasted by its (more costly) Nokia counterparts. To accompany the flashy colour screen there are polyphonic ringtones which, quite frankly are so naff that they become cool (a great paradox of youth!). With the choice of dance, R'n'B, "record scratching" (and many more) the M550 is desperate to annoy ...

Advantages: Price, Size, No aerial Disadvantages: **Lack of features** Poor reception
This is an amazing phone for the price. I have owned one for just under 2 years now. (I have just changed to an NEC e338). I paid £40 when I bought it on Virgin Mobile PAYG.
The main qualities are its size and ease of use. A monkey could learn how to use this phone. However, a monkey might find it hard to text with it as the keys are quite close together. I am NOT a monkey but I still have some difficultly. Another thing which makes it hard to text ... ...that you cannot text really quickly as it misses letters. For making and receiving calls this phone is great (except for poor reception) but don't expect much more for you money. It has an alarm which works even when the phone is turned off but thats about the only feature. I'm getting the impression this phone was designed by monkeys for use by monkeys. The battery life on this phone is amazing. Having it on all day (off at night) the battery lasts ...

Advantages: Small, light, nice looking, colour screen, full screen, Disadvantages: breaks so easily, poor reception, battery problems.
The sendo M550 hmm... well lets just say ill never ever look at one again, I owned this phone for about a year and it was functional for about three months of that time before breaking, and once it had broke all sorts of things went wrong.
After having a Nokia 5110 for about 4 years prior to this I was pleased to get an upgrade. Unlike my old phone it was compact and light and with it being a flip phone it meant I didn't lose all my credit when ... ...a colour screen and the messages no long came in two parts if they exceeded 160 characters. I could now download polyphonic ring tones and wall papers onto my phone and with the WAP I could do this without wasting so much credit. The games on this phone were brilliant. I loved the game were you whack the moles on the head it kept me entertained for ages; it also had bowling on it.
Now from the very off this phone crashed constantly. It was forever ...

I bought my Sendo M550 from Virgin mobile as a perfectly good reconditioned phone and for a very good price of £44.99!
Pro's
* Awsome 4096 colour screen inside.
* 2 settings for the exterior screen, choice of large or small clock. Tells you who is calling, who has recieved a text from you (Delivery report), time date, signal strength and battery strength. (I find the large clock display very usefull)

* Polyphonic ring tones (Room for 10 downloadable tones). The ones on the phone are a bit naff to be honest.

Advantages: Small, Extremely light, flip phone Disadvantages: Small, hard to use keys, surface scratches easily
The Sendo m550 is small and light, supposedly weiging in at around 66g. It can come in blue, black or some other colours as seen on the Sendo website. It's a flip phone with a screen on the outside that shows battery, signal, time date and missed calls/messages. it however, does not have a lot of features that phones being sold recently have.
I got my Sendo for Christmas, after wanting a flip phone that was fairly cheap. I didn't think that i really ... ...and phoning, so i didn't mind about it's lack of features. For the first month or so i was fine with it, but i found that it was outdating rather quickly and there were certain features that i hadn't realised that i used a lot, until they weren't there. For example a calculator, a scheduler etc. I also began to have problems texting. I have had my Sendo M550 for nearly a year now, I went to Tesco to update my old brick of a Nokia and was very pleased when I could afford a flip up phone.
It is smaller than a credit card and has an internal ariel so it's very stylish and has no bits to break off!! I am a bit heavy handed and accident prone so this is a great feature.

Advantages: Fantastic Value, Good Looking, Easy to Use Disadvantages: Brand name
The Sendo M550 is my first foray into the world of non-Nokia's, and it happened by accident. If I had the choice, I would have gone for a Nokia, they just seem to be dripping with reliability.
However, the M550 was bought for me, and I thought I'd give it a go. It's brilliant. Better than any Nokia I've ever used, the Sendo has all the ease of a Nokia, with the look of a Samsung. It is a fantastic little phone.
The phone, as long as your average ... ...of the phone. Being a Sendo phone, there just isn't that much around for it. You'll be hard-pressed to find compatible ringtones for it, although there are five or six compatible sites. The tones and games (Bowling, Whack-A-Mole) are extensive enough though, and enough to while away the minutes.
Quick round-up of features to finish..

The Sendo M550 phone is both compact, stylish and easy to use. i would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality phone with a bit of class about it.

I fell in love with the look of this phone just before last christmas{2003}, happened to mention to my hubby how much and surprise, surpise it was in my christmas stocking {from santa ofcourse!}.

Advantages: Sleek, Large Screen,Polyphonic Ringtones, a great flip-phone for a VERY reasonable price Disadvantages: The smaller screen on the exterior cannot be seen very well in the dark unless phone is opened
I bought this phone for my dad, at £79.99 from The Link and it's perfect. It's on Virgin mobile pay as you go, and the rates for Virgin mobile and absolutely great!
It's a very sleek phone, and I love the way it looks. It's a flip phone (that is very, very reasonably priced) and it has a large screen inside, as well as a smaller screen on the outside. Advantages: Small, light, aesthetics Disadvantages: Not many features and easily scratched
I got my Sendo M550 nearly two years ago (PAYG on Vodaphone). I wanted a small flip phone and wasn't willing to pay that much for it. I gambled on a fairly unknown company because I liked the style and the cost was pretty low compared to the other flip phones on the market at the time (£90).
I've been fairly satisfied with it, but its getting a bit long in the tooth now. Recently the phone has started displaying "invalid sim" messages, which I think ... ...the sim to improve the connection. In addition, the silver fascia became scrathed within weeks of buying the phone. Its not particularly comfortable to open as the screen and keypad are flush., although this does improve the aesthetics. My biggest complaint is with the battery signal.
