Advantages: Great looks, lots of extra kit, noise cancelling works, comfortable, top quality sound Disadvantages: Not quite as big a difference as you might be led to expect...
It seems to be the ultimate cardinal sin among gadget fans - failing to upgrade the headphones that came with your iPod/MP3 Player. But what if you've never had any problems with your bundled headphones? They're comfortable, look great and you don't really fancy shelling out £50 for a new pair that you don't really need. There are a multitude of budget headphones available today, which, in many ways, makes your decision even harder - once you've ... ...you go for? If brands sway you, chances are you'll be taking a look at these; Sennheiser's entry level cans. One of the market leaders, producing a pair of headphones for under £50? Advantages: Amazing value for money, great quality for all music, many extras. Disadvantages: The cable tidy is less practical than others I have seen.
Being Sennheisers' you are expecting some great quality head-phones, and these plugs sure won't disappoint.
The company's entry level in ear headphones feature a compact, stylist design, with sound to match.
The sound boasts a hearty, deep bass sound, with great high tones as well, that are of a high standard, without being too tinny. The main problem I have found with this type of headphone, is that the mid tones are often neglected, leaving your ... ...places, but without much life. However, with the CX-400s I find that the mid tones have a more than necessary presence, and this definitely makes a difference to the overall sound. Obviously, you get what you pay for, and so the sound quality isn't as good as really expensive models, but if you care about sound, and are on a limited budget, these are the best that I have ever owned.
I have used them to listen to many different types of music, from ...

Advantages: great bass, great sound Disadvantages: expensive
Sennheiser CX400 is a pair of headphones that boasts of quality bass and clarity. It has rubber sheathes that protect the cable that comes from each earpiece from going down in your ear. These in-ear buds are the perfect example of why you should replace your iPod's bundled pish. For a mere £5 shy ... ...vocals and oh-so-sweet treble. We pumped some brutish sounds through these earphones and they were delivered to our ears with all the enthusiasm of Dermot O'Leary on acid (we imagine). Constructed from sturdy metal and supplied with a menage a trois of earpiece cap sizes, these beauties feel comfortable to wear and should fit well, even if your ears resemble a loveable Disney elephant's. The earpieces also fit tightly in your ear canals, creating ...

Advantages: Great Sound Quality: Noise Isolating Properties. Disadvantages: Be careful with the lightweight cables.
I have just purchased the CX400s after my years of use from the older CX300 model.
The difference is amazing... I listen to a lot of Classical, Chamber music on public transport on the way to work and these block about loads of background noise. But... The main reason I bought them was for the sound quality.
They are a real improvement over the older model, The older model that I was really happy with. But these... wow!!! If you have cheapy headphones ... ...yourself to get a pair of these.. It's a no brainer..
For the money there is nothing to touch them.. Even at higher listening levels they are still stunningly clear with a nice sense of weight from the bottom end..
Just buy them and be amazed at how good these little things are. ...
