Advantages Advantages Everything you want from a pair of headphones: great sound, comfort and style

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Compactability

Sennheiser are well known for making high quality headphones, and they have one again succeeded with the HD 201 on-ear headphones. After hearing music through these I have never returned to using in-ear headphones, they just take your ears by storm. I purchased a pair of HD 201 heaphones off Amazon about 4 months ago, and paid a tiny price of £11, and in my opinion, its the best £11 I have spent my whole life. These heaphones deliver high quality sound at only a fraction of the price of other on-ear headphone brands such as Boss and Sony. Whatever you plug these heaphones into whether it be an ... more

Advantages Advantages Crisp sound, sturdy design, affordable.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not enough bass, not loud enough.

(this review is in comparison to my old Sony MDR-XB300 headphones) Design and Build Quality These feel very rugged and sturdy compared to my previous pair of Sony MDR-XB300 which felt flimsy. The styling isn't too show offy and has two simple colours, black and silver. On the headband, in big, bold lettering, there's the logo which looks really cool and trendy when rested around your neck. It doesn't feel cheap and doesn't feel like they're gonna break easily. It is mostly hard plastic. They fit comfortably around the whole ear and have a softer sponge padding at the inside top of the headband ... more

Advantages Advantages Great sound, durable, cheap.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lacks the range that some higher end headphones can provide. Not always loud enough.

Great pair of headphones if your on a budget. Sennheiser are known for their quality built headphones and these are no exception. I originall bought them to plug into my amp and listen to my electric guitar "quietly". They performed pretty well at this and handled the low basses without distorting. The only slight downside is that they weren't very loud. I'm not one for really loud headphones, but when these reach a certain threshold of volume they start to distort a bit. Under most circumstances this is fine, but sometimes I find myself needing a touch more volume out of these. I also use ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent sound, top value for money, very comfortable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cable a little too long for me

2 Weeks ago I found myself in the position of having £25 to spend on some headphones - my iPhone earphones just weren't good enough and I needed some headphones quickly to drown out a noisy neighbour. So off I went into town.... The first pair I tried were a Sony model that I had seen good reviews for and I just wasn't impressed so I took them back and got my £24.99 back. I walked into HMV and saw these on the shelf. I really didn't expect much for £15! I am gobsmacked by the quality of these headphones for the money. I remember a friend having some pretty expensive Sennheisers a few years ago ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent sound. Great value for money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

These headphones have powerful bass and a smooth treble. They are perfect for any kind of music. The 6.3mm adapter and 3 metre long wire make the headphones great for DJing (which is what I use them for). They are fully adjustable to fit your head plus they are light and comfy. The weight and padded earpads sometimes make you forget the fact that you are actually earing headphones. They also look stylish and classy. They are also very affordable making them superb value for money at around £15 a pair. The main disadvantage is that they are not fully able to block outside noise when compared to ... more

Advantages Advantages Great bang for your buck!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Less features compared to more professional products

The well known Sennheiser products are renowned for their fantastic sound and build quality. The 201's don't fail to dissapoint. I bought these headphones because I was mainly looking for some great quality headphones that were comfortable to wear for prolonged periods at my computer. Since i'm not a proffessional sound editor, there was no need for me to spend £100 plus on headphones. I was astounded at the price of these 'phones. These headphones have lasted me about 6 months now, and still in mint condition. The build quality is excellent, and they fit extremely comfortably on my head. If ... more

I bought the HD201 a week back. Happy with the sound quality but not with the comfort level. Perhaps I have a large head.. my ear lobes pain after I wear it for half an hour.. I thought I would get used to it, but no. If comfort is not your priority, go ahead.

Advantages Advantages cheap, good sound quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages become uncomfortable after prolonged periods of wear

I bought these about 2 months ago when looking for something to keep me entertained at my computer for long periods without distubing my fellow house mates. For the low price these things go for they're incredible, The sound quility is very nice and it does quite a good job at keeping it to your ears only. They're quite comfortable to begin with but after an hour or so you'll probably notice that your ears will be aching and sweating a little, but usually a little break or a readjustment of the headphones will sort that out. There are better closed cans out there, but if you're not looking to ... more

Advantages Advantages great for the price

Disadvantages Disadvantages sound quality could be better

Great little set of headphones here and they are great for all uses staying around the house or even going out on the bus they have a great style which fits around the head perfectly providing comfort and you get a lengthy wire and an adaptor to plug into things such as an amp karaoke machine etc. Also the price is great and well worth it the sound quality is great for the price ive been through lots and lots of headphones from 100 pounds and up and have quite high standards but as my last set of headphones broke i didnt want to shell out on very expensive ones again so i bought these in the ... more
