Advantages Advantages Value for money, appearance, rotatable ear cup, complimentry bag and sound clarity

Disadvantages Disadvantages lack of base, uncomfortable on head and "sweaty ear syndrome"

The Sennheiser HD 205. The latest installement from the much loved Sennhesier over ear headphone series. The product was brought for £35 (www.amazon.co.uk) in early January 2011. First impressions of the product were dreadful for the simple reason that the packaging took me around 20 mins to remove. After me and my army of knives, scissor and now cuts finally unleashed the product I was very very impressed. The extra's to just the headphones itself made me feel alot more pleased with my purchase - the newly sized adaptor as can be seen on the specifications on either: www.play.com or www ... more

The Sennheiser HD 205 is one of the best headphones you can get out there for a decent price. I am not an audiophile or a serious sound specialist or something. But I do listen to music almost all the time of my life. Almost all kinda music like Rap, hip-hop, Rock ( my favourite ), Techno and almost all kinda music as long as it is good at keep you entertained. I also listen lot of Indian music, which are quite a feast of instruments and vocals. The Sennheiser HD 205 does a wonderful job of immersing me in to world of music. I could listen to all the sounds clearly. The bass is so precise and ... more

Advantages Advantages Good Sound, Comfortable, Good Value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Over time the moving arm gets loose and can be annoying.

Design: Sennheiser is known more its functionality than its cutting edge looks, and this set is no different. Although much better looking than some of their other models, the HD205 DJ headphones are not head turners like the Pioneer HDJ-1000 or the Sony MDR-700. The HD205 comes with a long cord, but I was a little disappointed that it was not coiled as I could see it getting in the way during a set. Sennheiser included the ability to slide one of the ear pieces left or right. This is of course intended to allow DJs to listen to the mix in one ear and the live track in the other. Although this ... more

Advantages Advantages Good sounds, look good, great price.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Painful after a while - especially with long hair!

These headphones are pretty good, and nice and cheap. I got them because they are to be honest very cheap and they would be fine for everything I wanted to do - basic listening to stuff like DVDs etc. The good thing is is that there is no noise distortion at all at loud noises and although I can't remember the term, the outside noise is kept put realy well, and however loud I have the music up, no one can hear it! The down side is is that they do get very tight, and sometimes VERY painful if you keep them on for a while - especially if you have long hair! These are defo worth a buy though, and ... more

Advantages Advantages Very cheap, strong build, great quailty sound.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Uncomfortable after a long time, cord is rather long.

I brought these headphones out a limb really, I was after a basic set that would give me reasonable quality for a low price. These headphones covered this criteria quite well. The reason I purchased these headphones was mostly to listen to music, I listen to a variety of styles such as Drum&Bass, Chillout and some Indie. The headphones covered these well, the bass sounds good and deep and didn't distort at higher volumes and the treble is clear and you can really tell the difference in track quality. Noise cancellation is fairly good, the headphones don't allow much outside noise in and also ... more
