Great headphones... but for only one purpose, DJing. The reason why is because they are very trebble-heavy so the snares and hats kick though the bass with ease making it easier to hear the important bits well instead of having the bass sounding distorting in the headphones. They can go very loud which is another reason I use them for mixing, however i find it difficult to master my tracks with them as i cannot get the right tones out of them which leaves me mixing down my tracks blindfolded. Bought these headphones to listen to my metal music whilst at home without interruptions or complaints! My music sounds fantastic on these, the sound is not at all tinny as I have found with other headphones, even when played from my phone. The closed cups fit securely round my ears and are rotatable which is very handy when I do need to have a conversation, should imagine DJ's use this more often than myself. I purchased these headphones from play.com at a bargain price of £24.99 with free delivery about 2 months ago. Up till now they have been fantastic and i have had no problems with them whatsoever. The main features of these closed-cup headphones are the rotatable ear cup ideal for DJ monitoring and a 3m coiled cable also ideal for DJ's. However i did not purchase these for DJing but for general usage connected to my hi-fi amp and find that they drown out any external noise and give superb sound quality at this price. I received these headphones as a Christmas gift this year. I'd been after some headphones that i could use for my degree work, personal studio work and also for general listening when travelling! I've found the headphones to be an excellent all rounder! As an electronic producer they have a really good frequency range, and i've produced some very good mixes on them.
