Sensodyne pro enamel for children I have never had any problems getting Little Miss to clean her teeth, but because she still has a mixture of big and baby teeth I do like to get her to use toothpastes specially formulated for children's teeth. **What Does it do?** The toothpaste promises to help to protect against acid erosion and tooth decay. Apparently dentists are concerned about the acid erosion caused by fruits, juices and soft drinks, because these acids soften the enamel and it can then be slowly worn away. Children get new teeth between the ages of 6-13 years and these teeth are ... more

I am a mother of three children and I want to ensure their teeth are looked after to prevent cavities and the resultant fillings. I take my children to the dentist every six months and have done since they were about two years old. My two boys have very good teeth and hopefully with a good dental regime their teeth will remain strong and healthy. However my daughter has inherited a problem with her teeth meaning that the enamel is patchy on her teeth, in some parts the enamel is very thin or even non-existent so we have to be extra careful with her oral hygiene. My dentist has coated by ... more

As I have said in a previous review I have no enamel on my teeth so had a lot of problems growing up and many trips to the dentist. As a result of this I ma always on the look out for new toothpastes for my boys to use so they don’t have problems like me. This was my latest find, it is a new one by Sensodyne and is designed especially for children aged 6-12 years. . . ~~THE TUBE~~ . . The toothpaste comes in a white tube which has a big chunky blue cap. The cap is useful to stand the toothpaste up with. On the front of the tube is a small blue circle which contains a funny tooth man picture ... more

Sensodyne Pronamel for Children is a fairly new toothpaste on the market designed specifically for kids. I was initially attracted to this product because it promised to help with acid erosion in childrens teeth which can make them more prone to cavities and tooth decay. Our son drinks a lot of fruit juices and fizzy drinks and I was concernd about this and thought this toothpaste woudl help prevent acid erosion, which is a big worry for us. The Paste cost £2 for a 50ml tube and we bought it in Tesco. I have used this brand myself before and have always been very pleased with the results it ... more

My son was diagnosed with dental flurosis 6 months ago. Its a terrible toxic "disease?" that very few people in the UK know anything about. It causes pitting on the teeth as well as severe disclouration. The anamel is also poorly formed. Flurosis can be caused by a number of things; Problems while in the Womb illness as a baby Excessive Intake of Toothpaste as a toddler Exceesive Fluroide in Tap Water. I have no idea where my son got his however I can easily tick all of the above. Once you have flurosis the damage is done only cosmetic dentistry can "hide" the damage when he becomes a teen ... more
