    Hands up who thinks the US Open final will be between the williams sisters? I wouldn't mind a flutter on that! They are dominating the tour at the moment, even though they aren't top-ranked. They've won the past four tournaments between them, and serena looked likely to beat hingis for a fifth till she had to retire through injury. On home soil, and with serena as defending champion, i think they stand a pretty good chance. If they get that far, hopefully it will be more of a contest than their wimbledon semi. ... more

    The sisters were in deed a team. It seemed when one was slacking the other was hitting with a power we can not explain. In an interview, one sister said something like it is hard to beat the both of us, because we always seem to know what the other is going to do. And in a 6-3, 7-6, it definitely demonstrated. Being 18 and 20 the sisters have a lot of years left ahead of them, so anyone wanting to get a title had better do a lot of praying first.     Advantages Advantages A great value for your money, and an experience that you'll always remember.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The matches don't last long enough - because they are just simply too good and finish off their opponents very quickly. Also, there will be a lower number of women champions in the next decade as these superstars will dominate the sport.

    The Williams sister's have taken women's tennis to yet another dimension. Well, what can I say about them? What can I think about them? What can anybody say about them? What can anybody think about them? Well to sum it up we can say - "WOW!!!!!!" Yes it is true, the Williams sister's are amazing. They grew up in a really rough area in the USA and have perservered this and have come through from being good and talented youngsters to quality individuals and now they are not just amazing professionals but are world class champions.     Advantages Advantages Have powerful serves and groundstrokes and very young. Are the best lady partners in the world.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not very good at skillful shots and make errors.

    The Williams sisters rarely play doubles but when they do play they are fun to watch. Venus is the older sister at 20 and is also the better player. Serena is 18 but is still a very good player and one for the future. They communicate very well with each other which you would expect as they are sisters. They both have powerful serves and can serve aces very easily. They also have powerful groundstrokes. Neither their backhand or forehand or that weak.     After Venus won the ladies singles title, and probably should have now, with Serena, won the ladies doubles (I'm writing this review while it's on TV downstairs!), I'm wondering whether they will end up dominating the game. I feel that they have already been able to change the face of women's tennis with the incredible physique and skill - and if you ask me, it's for the good. I think that women's tennis becoming more associable with men's tennis will only help to promote the sport - making it more exciting, more competitive and bringing it into the limelight - ie. more finance, more fans etc ... more

    There is only word to describe the Williams sisters victory in the ladies doubles at Wimbledon - awesome! They were superb. Even though they were only seeded eight because they do not play much doubles together they were easily the best pair in the ladies doubles. Both are so strong and athletic that they could dominate ladies doubles for years to come if they decided to play together on a regular basis. In fact they could threaten the title record of Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver, who I believe won over a hundred titles in a row! Perhaps only injuries can stop the Williams - only time ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages They never lose-predictable outcome

    Not content with winning the Ladies singles final at Wimbeldon, Venus together with her sister has also won the Ladies Doubles Final. Together they gave a thrilling match in which they won in straight sets. They were unstoppable on their own but together they were a nightmare for their opponents. Everyone was drawn to them because they are so well known and so good. They have won many doubles titles tgether and it seems unlikely that they will be beaten in the next Wimbledon. The fact that they are sisters makes their matches more watchable and recieves enormous media attention. ... more

    Serena and Venus Williams have both done excellently this Wimbledon championship, with Venus winning the singles, and together winning the doubles. In fact, Serena could have won the singles, I believe, if she had not been knocked out of the semi-finals by her sister. Together, they are practically impossible to beat as they have an amazing reach which means that they can get to practically any ball their opponent wishes to throw at them.     WOW! These sisters are on fire. Not only does Venus win the Wimbledon Ladies' Singles title - her first Grand Slam title ever, but they also manage to pair up, put behind the fact that Serena lost to her elder sister just a few days ago, and pull together in order to WIN THE ALL ENGLAND CLUB LADIES DOUBLES! And they played superbly. Despite the fantastic Serena's service being broken in the very first game of the match, they pulled it bakc the very next game,a nd went on to win superbly, easily, fantastically, amzingly! I have nothing but respect for these ghetto-bred sisters! GO GO GO ... more

    i can't believe that the only two sisters in the game won everything!they most be the greatest players in the history of the ladies wimbaldon history.fancy wining on there day of independence!to tell you the truth i hate tennis but the way that those two two sisters play is unbievable and has started to make me look twise about tennis.they are a great influence to all tennis stars wonabees.the way that they combine power and stragie into one to completely ableverater there apponnents is completely gob smacking.its a shame that there so ugly cause if they weren't they'd be the talk of the town ... more
