Well.......am I relieved to have a new washing machine at long last!! It was September 2005 when my last washing machine died a death it had been good to me for the 4 years that I had owned it, but suddenly it packed in and became the enemy as I could not afford to get it fixed -the 3 year garuantee was up and my son was getting through clothes like there was no tomorrow!! Many hours were spent,sleaves rolled up hand washing at the sink or larger ... ...discovered that I could take no more,I decided that as I couldn't get my machine fixed and couldn't fork out cash for a new one I had one option left open to me if I was to to avoid being driven insane by all this hand washing(no, I didn't decide to never wash my clothes again) CREDIT!! Advantages: cheap, effective, quick Disadvantages: door catch doesnt always hold
...could get delivered quickly was Servis so I chose this model. The other plus was the price at £199.99.
On the downside was the load size at 5KG and with 3 kids I did think long and hard about it. After doing the 1st few loads I found that this model is extremely quick. The quick cycle took about half an hour (compared with the other one taking over an hour on quickwash). Although I wouldn't recommend it unless you are only freshening up 1 item. ... ...and it takes roughly 50-60 minutes.
The load capacity is now of no concern to me as I can still get all my washing done with this new model quicker than I would have with the old one.
Fitting the machine was very easy all I did was connect the inlet hose (there is only 1 for cold water) to the water supply and put the waste pipe into the overflow, plugged it in and away I went. My floor isn't very level but even so I didn't need to adjust the balance. ...

I purchased the Servis M6011 last friday (18/02/05) from my local co-operative supermarket, it caught my eye as i wondered around the store due to the fact that it was silver in colour, reasonably priced and energy efficient. I paid £219.99 plus £10 to have it delivered the following Tuesday.
It arrived early and was fitted immediately, it came with water pipes which were inside the drum and obviously the waste pipe, a full set of instructions and ... ...use, there is a dial which you use to select the water temperature and type of load which as well as your usual white cottons etc included handwash, quickwash and pump & spin. There is the on/off button plus five others which are start, no spin, pre-wash and wash plus which extends the usual wash by 20-30 minutes for those heavily soiled football shorts etc!!
It is a front loading machine and the door locks once the start button is pressed so little ...

...Out of balance spin protection No spin option
Servis is a brand thats been around for some time so if like me you are on the lookout for a new machine then maybe give this a look..You never know you may just like it.. ...
