    Anyone thinking of moving smaller items such as clothes, books, and general bits and bobs abroad should take a look at this site, a few of my friends and my brother who is now living the other side of the world, have used this company, and a strong possibility of using it myself. My brother was recommended to this site, and I used it with him some while ago when he was packing his treasure's off to sunny New Zealand.     The best way for me to review Seven Seas Worldwide is to tell you a little story.... Do you come from a land Down under? I was returning from Australia to the UK and needed to move a fair amount of stuff. I spent a long time researching various compaines online, and was quite depressed at how expensive it all appeared to be. However, I settled on a company, got a quote and made a booking. I won't name names or go into detail but let's just say I was let down BADLY (and repeatedly) by that company. That left me with just a couple of days to make an alternative arrangement.     Advantages Advantages Efficiens and very polite, explained the whole process and deliver my goods correctly every time

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Seven Seas Worldwide have been victims of bad internet press

    I have used Seven Seas Worldwide a number of times and find them to be both efficient and very well organised. They arranged to collect my stuff on time and once delivered it a little later than I had hoped but the communication was there, they told me all about the delays and when to expect the delivery. Everything goes really well every time I use Seven Seas Worldwide. I was so surprised then when I recommended them to a friend to be told that there is negative press out there online about them.     Fast to start with but the on-line quote changed daily. The ship that our boxes were on changed so the boxes left a month late, even though we were told they had left on time. Tracking had our boxes going backwards and forwards around the Far East. Once they got near the UK the sat in the North seas for days. My family spent a month with only the clothes in our cases, 20kg each. Once the boxes arrived they seemed to be crushed, water stained and torn. Items were broken even though they where well wrapped and protected. I have tried to deal with the company to get compensation for our broken ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheapest rate from Northern Ireland to Australia; delivery arrived on time in perfect condition

    We were really pleased with Seven Seas Worldwide which we used to ship 15 boxes from the UK to Australia. Their quote was the cheapest with pick up from Northern Ireland. The process was easy and stress free. We submitted accurate box measurements (via email) so the price they quoted was the price we paid. Paperwork was clearly explained and the door to door service was hassle free. We were given a one hour window for pick up and delivery (via email and text) and both pick up and delivery happened on time with friendly, efficient drivers.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Un-reliable. Poor information from staff. Poor communication in general.

    Avoid this company at all costs. We recently moved from Ireland to Canada and had a most disappointing experience using this company. It started out promising with efficient call centre staff, delivery of boxes etc and quoted prices. The service soon diminished however with poor information and no member of staff seemingly giving the same information. Forms were not e-mailed as advised and communicating on the telephone via call centres elsewhere was very difficult to chase up. Boxes arrived and packaging was more than generous.     Disadvantages Disadvantages BAD customer service, major mistakes that they do and make the client pay for it

    Well if all goes smoothly you might get your things but if there are any issues - you are on your own!!!! I was planning to relocate from the UK to Australia, packed and gave all my stuff to Seven seas and paid for shipping. However In the meantime I have discovered that I was pregnant, so asked Seven Seas to hold the shipping and store while we are deciding whether to relocate now or not. I was told that we would not be charged for the first month of storage, but after that we would be charged a small fee per box for storing.     I have recently moved from the UK to the US, and initially I planned to send all my belongings by the slower but cheaper sea option, so I hunted online for quotes from various companies to send my 20 or so boxes of junk by sea – Seven Seas came out as one of the cheaper options, and I found their website very user friendly and easy to get an instant no strings quote, and when I emailed them with a question they were very fast to respond.     I just want to drop a quick line on my unpleasant experience with Seven Seas too. I agree that they are just an average company that would be ok if things went well and you do your packing exactly the way they want it. I had a few problems with the packing and when i spoke to the staff, they were really unhelpful. This was a stark difference from when i spoke to them during the enquiry stage before i pay the deposite for the boxes.     We are 7 students sending 35 cartons back from Swansea to Hong Kong. Apparently out friend in London rang them and asked them about extra charges apart from those listed online. My friiend got a Chinese young lady, with pretty much the worst customer service you may have, telling him at least HKD$900 will be charged for clearing customs duty, which is very odd for Hong Kong as there are no VAT. We rang them for assurance and they told us only door to depot will be charged but door to door will not be charged. We asked if door to door will than be cheaper and they keep speaking of other issues ... more
