Advantages Advantages Some of the older incidents (but should have been covered in the first book)

Disadvantages Disadvantages Spat after spat...after spat...

Christmas 2005, Sharon Osbourne's autobiography covering her tumultuous and tempestuous relationships has been launched in time for Christmas and has gone down a storm, becoming the UK's number 1 book. I got this from the library over the Christmas holidays and found it so engrossing that I finished reading this in 3 days. Yes, it was that good. Fast forward 2 years and the second instalment in Sharon's life is penned and released for the public. After the greatness of the first one, I wanted to buy this book on the strength of the first book. After all, Sharon Osbourne seems to have been more ... more

    Advantages Advantages A great read

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Swearing

Back in 2006, I read Extreme - Sharon Osbourne's autobiography. I really enjoyed it, so when I heard she had a second book out - Survivor - I borrowed it from the library and finished it last night. I think most people know who Sharon Osbourne is. As well as being the wife of Black Sabbath star Ozzy and mother of actress and singer Kelly, Sharon Osbourne is well-known in her own right, especially in the UK for her part on the judging panel of The X Factor. I wouldn't say I particularly like Sharon, but I have to admire the things she has achieved. I found Extreme to be quite shocking in parts ... more

Advantages Advantages Classic Sharon, Funny, Well Written, Life inside and outside of the industry.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some very sad moments, if your likely to cry have tissues handy.

Sharon Osbourne - Survivor is the follow up to her first book Extreme. With Extreme covering the first 40 years or so of her life, this second book spans the next 5 years or so. So you might think - what more has the woman got to tell? And the answer is simply - plenty! The book starts around the time that Sharon was diagnosed with cancer - I have read a few reviews where people have said that the book disappointed them with how little was said about the time she spent fighting cancer. I have to disagree. The book is not about cancer, it's about Sharon as a whole and her experiences, and her ... more

Advantages Advantages Sharon being very open and honest

Disadvantages Disadvantages not enought about X Factor for me

I would like to say a massive thankyou to Santa for putting this is my stocking this Christmas. This is the second installment from Mrs Osbourne titled Survivor and I would have to say that there could not have possibly been a better title for her book. I read her first book, Extreme and was very suprised to learn about her life and the way she had been bought up and all the crap that has happened to her. From reading the first book I was very keen to get reading this installment. SHARON Sharon Alden was born in London in 1952. She later met and married Ozzy Osbourne. She now has 3 children ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to read, Great book

Disadvantages Disadvantages Once you start reading you cannot stop

Well I have to disagree totally to the other person who wrote a bad review on this book......I'm not a big fan of Sharon Osbourne and I also never watched the Osbournes TV show but whenever I've watched her on the TV she seems quite a funny lady so I asked my boyfriend to get it me for a Christmas present. I started reading it on Boxing Day and finished reading it after 2 days, it is just one of those books that you just cannot put down. The book is a follow on from her previous book Extreme, She speaks her opinion on what she really thinks of loads of celebrities. She talks about her ... more

    Advantages Advantages None

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Loads of cobbles

Well, if you like Sharon Osbourne already like all these reviewers who gave the book 5 stars obviously do, then you'll probably like it. Me, I tried to approach it with an open mind. I'm not a big fan of The Osbournes TV show although it's mildly entertaining I wouldn't rush home to see it. But frankly, Mrs Osbourne here is a very veeery boring writer. In fact, I'd hazard a guess and say she didn't, in fact, write most of this book. Compared with the hardships that so many people have to put up with, Mrs Osbourne is one of the luckiest people on earth, and to put herself forward as some kind ... more
