Advantages: Extremely clear picture Disadvantages: Not the cheapest around
Having recently had to throw away my CRT monitor after a faithful five years of service, it was time to try getting one of these fancy new TFT monitors that I see all the time now. Fancy estate agents and hotels all seem too eager to show off these monitors even though half havern't a clue about them, just the latest office fashion accessory.
However this said I've become rather pleased with the change from a traditional large monitor. For starters ... ...stretch out and its also much lighter allowing me to tuck it under my arm and take it on the go to friends houses.
Getting more technical the contrast, typically bad in TFT monitors is excellent on this particular one, quoted as 700:1 and the refresh rate is plenty fast enough for you gamers out there at 25ms.
