This Shell D40 is part of the Rimula range of oils, this version being suitable for use in larger Diesel engines, mainly commercials, such as buses and trucks. The oil is marketed at applications like this because this is an old fashioned type of oil. It is a High quality monograde oil, not multi-grade, and as such is designed for high load applications, especially in warmer environments.
