1 Star Cheap sell Shoe Zone on the cheap floor. Review with images 10/06/2011

    Advantages Advantages Cheap

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Cheap

Shoe Zone sells mostly trainers and casual shoes for all the family, and from the cheapest of materials, no doubt hand stitched somewhere warm. There are three kinds of footwear you can buy in life. There's the classic designer stuff that is made to last and wears its label proudly and charges you accordingly, the most stylish sneakers going for around £200 in London. A handmade pair of Italian brogues can be treble that. Then there are the two other groups of footwear where you can do a crude calculation to work out how long they will last by the price you pay. If you buy a £60 pair of shoes ... more

Advantages Advantages lots of cheap, high quality shoes!

Disadvantages Disadvantages customer service not great!

SHOE ZONE ----------------- Shoe zone was founded in 1917 and was called Bensonshoe. In 1980 it was bought by the Smith family. A year later Wassall PLC was bought acquiring 43 stores and doubling the companies turnover. Another company, Tylers, was bought 5 years later in 1986 adding more branches. The store has continued to grow and is now known as the 'shoe giant' Shoe Zone. THE STORE ----------------- This review is based on the store in Plymouth although I have attended other Shoe Zone stores over the UK and they seem much of a likeness. The store in Plymouth is very eye catching. The ... more

    Advantages Advantages God range.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Most other.

With my most recent need to buy a new pair of shoes and there being a rather sudden lack of shoe shops in Plymouth (owing I have to say either to many shops not coming down here or those that did having recently gone into administration), I decided to head for the local Shoe Zone which is situated in the main shopping area of Plymouth. However I must add that before I continue on any further with this review, that I am writing this purely based on my own experiences of this particular shop and no other. Therefore any comparisons or differences I must make no apologies for, owing to this very ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap, shop layout is ok

Disadvantages Disadvantages badly made, uncomfortable shoes

Most larger towns/.city centres feature a branch of Shoe Zone these days, and in the current economic climate it's easy to see why the shop might appear attractive, as it sells shoes at extremely low prices. For example you can pick up a pair of trainers/skater shoes for around at £15, and can pick up smart work shoes for £20, or a pair of work boots for £25-30. Unfortunately however, a cursory glance or trying on of any of these shoes reveals that whilst the costs are low the shoes are both cheaply-made and poorly designed. The work-boots tend to me made out of rigid plastic, and are not very ... more

Advantages Advantages Good Value, Convenience and Choice

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Sizes can vary

This is the first year I have used Shoe Zone to Purchase the childrens school shoes. I used to use Clarks but their typical prices for childrens shoes are pushing towards £37 pair. I Purchased a pair of coated leather boys shoes in Shoe Zone for £12. There was certainly plenty of choice. The feedback I get is that they are very comfortable. There trainers are also very good value. £4.99 bought a very tidy pair of boys trainers which were ideal for playing out with friends and the weekly PE lessons. In our local Shoe Zone, you measure your own or your own childs feet using the measure they ... more

Advantages Advantages decent price, good stock turnover

Disadvantages Disadvantages run out of certain sizes regularly

Shoe zone are a relatively well known discount shoe shop selling mens, womens and childrens shoes. They stock a multitude of types although they do tend to vary the amount of each depending on the season eg, more boots in winter and more sandals in the summer. Positives: - Frequent stock turnover so there's often lots of different shoes to look through each time you go. - Good prices (often cheaper than places such as New Look and definately cheaper than Clarkes) and occassional offers (I went in there today and they had buy 1 get one free on quite alot of their stock). - Decent quality for ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, affodable, good range of shoes.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Shoe Zone is an excellent shop which sells a range of footwear from boots to flip-flops to stilletoes. Along with the very low pricing, this shop is affordable for everybody who wants a decent pair of shoes at affordable, low prices. This shoe shop especially caters with a large range of black school shoes for teenagers and children, including a variety of designs and shapes. The adults section starting at size 3 (US 37) for women take up most of the stores, and even though most of the customers are women, there is also a mens section and childrens section to choose from. There are 2 shoe zone ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages You need to let them be rude with you

Shoe Zone is the shop where we go when money is tight but it doesn't mean we don't deserve good manners from the staff. I went today to get some 'summer shoes' like it is summer out there, I know. I went in with a couple of bags from the market stalls and the beep of the security system at the entrance started to beep like crazy. I haven't even been in and the RUDE person that works there came to look at my bags ,one by one, taking everything I bought for everyone to see. I explained I haven't even been in but she wouldn't listen , she just said she has to look. I was quite upset with the ... more
