...it didn't. So i asked Shop! could i send my camcorder back for a refund as it was faulty, they said certainly. It took me 8 weeks, about 15 calls to thier pathetic helpline and 2 letters to get my refund, a disgrace if you ask me and it has totally put me off buying anything of theirs again.
Thier prices are not such great value as they claim them to be although they do sometimes have bargain hours, but these contain the usual tosh that nobody wants ... ...is quite useful and doesn't up the amount of your purchase by about £5.00. The presenters on the channel must be on a different planet aswell and very often you will find that they have not got the slightest clue on what they are trying to flog. They also have a terrible habit of repeating the same shows throughout the day, unlike Bid-up or QVC who never repeat and have new itmes every hour.
Their customer service needs kicking into touch aswell ...

Advantages: Free channel, available 24 hours, good comedy value Disadvantages: Poor range and quality of goods, presenters can't present without saying "this is just great value" every other breath.

I have always admired home shopping presenters for their ability to make naff products look half-decent. Shop! presenters, however, have great difficulty at making an excellent product look half-decent - they make it look terrible! Shop! is the only 24-hour shopping channel available to people with an OnDigital subscription. This is great if you're not into home shopping TV but terrible if you ... ...shopping for less than the Shop! price, they'll refund the difference - wow.
Each hour is programmed to be a different type of shop, so you'll have Cooking Shop!, Bargain Shop!, Fitness Shop!, etc.
I think Shop! needs to look at QVC and pick up a few tips on selling, customer service and quality. They should also sack their current buying staff and employ someone with taste! :) ...

Shop! is probable the worst TV channel on Earth. The presenters are completely talentless, their products are sub-standard, and their prices are far from being competitive.
I am not a lover of shop's on TV, and this channel further emphises why they should be banned. I mean, come on, a spotty 22 year old presenter with a lisp trying to sell a really naff Amstrad CD player for £100! Is there anybody dumn enough to bother ordering from these people!

After QVC's slickness and professionalism, SHOP! can come as a bit of a shock. The set looks like it is being held up with tape, for a start. The presenters are pretty unique too : enthusiastic, talkative, panicky at times. This is compulsive viewing. I watch it to see what is going to go wrong next.
One of my favourite presenters is Debbi Jones. She used to be a local radio DJ and was excellent. She's wasted on this programme, but she's still good. ... ...couple of things and they have been fine. For example, we had some pillows, which were good quality and cheaper than anywhere else we tried. When there is nothing else on Sky, we often put SHOP! on, it's entertaining, even if you have no intentions of buying anything. ...

Advantages: maybe quite cheap but who cares? Disadvantages: Calming talking and cheesy music trick you into buying what you don't need and can't afford.

Then Shop! comes up, and, oh, look at that top of the line hi-fi. It looks pretty cool, it has extra features, a super woofer, a screen that not only tells you time and track number, but has moving boxes. Well you think, that's more interesting than mine.
Before you know it you know every thing to know about this £249.99 includin p&p hi-fi. You know it's dimensions, what it looks like without it's speaker covers, what it sounds ... ...difference.
You will then find yourself really exited into picking up the phone and getting out your credit card. A week later as you sit at home watching something on tv, a man drops off the package and gets you to sign the slip. As he walks away you sit there setting up your new piece of equipment.
10 minutes later you sit back and enjoy that classical music cd you got free in a lifestyle magazine and the truth dawns on you;

This channel always seems to be on in my house. I like the sports shop the best. Shop TV is great because you can shop while at home. So you don’t have to leave the house or queue for ages. Do you have unwanted stuff that you never use? then Internet auctions are an excellent way to sell your unwanted goods. However if you are buying from an auction you need to be very cautious. I have used Yahoo, Qxl, ebay and others to buy and sell. The best site is Yahoo auctions because it is well designed, fast downloads, easy to use. When selling make sure you state a minimum price that you will accept otherwise you may not get as much as you ... ...buying by asking the seller what is included because I have found that some sellers will deliberately mislead people. So make sure of the details.
In summary, internet auctions are a fast, efficient and easy way to buy or sell but there are some dodgy people you nedd to look out for. ...

Shop! has got to be the worst. The presenters seem to know absolutely nothing about what they are trying to sell and insist on bringing on "Experts" who seem to know even less. The "Expert" that Shop! wheel on for the games hours where they try to sell you Playstations and Dreamcasts would not even get a job in the Games store where I used to work with the knowledge he has and yet they call him an "Expert" on a number of occasions ... ...Presenter:- "How many players can play this game then?" Expert:- "ermm...(Flips box over) err...2 People can play this great game andy."
Arghhhhhhhh! They have just introduced a Lingerie hour but instead of selling the usual stuff the first item was a purple or red (yep its available in a range or colourways!) body suit with velcro patches over the niples! hahaha
They hours they show are constantly repeated and you never know when something is ...

I PLACED AN ORDER WITH SHOP ON DEC 09 2000, IT WAS A GIFT ITEM FOR MY STEP DAD THE OPERATOR TOLD ME THAT THE GOODS WOULD BE DELIVERED FOR THE MANUFACTURER WITHIN 7 WORKING DAYS. ...out of the rank was Shop! (not sure why the exclamation mark is there...) and as a rival it serves to make QVC look extremely succesful.
The concept is the same - 24 hours of product demonstrations - a freephone order number and home delivery.
Where it differs is class, I never though of QVC as anything approaching classy but thanks to Shop! it now appears it. The single Shop! set is two chairs and a table, the presenters are at best enthusiastic ... ...model was male!!
Shop! does try hard - weekends often have promotions such as free postage and packaging or a blue cross sale, and for those regular buyers you can opt to pay to join the Shop! discount club @ £25.00 and save 10% of all purchases for a year. ...

I have used QVC for shopping many times, buying items as varied as DIY to cooking utensils. I have always received my goods on time. I use their Q Cut telephone line to order goods with the minimum amount of fuss or their web site. Their money back guarantee is really good, you can use the item for 30 days and then return it if you are not satisfied. All of the items are explained fully when being sold on air plus photos are available on their web ...
