After playing Civilization IV on the PC I knew what this game was about. You control a civilization and try to be the best civilization. There are numerous ways to do this which I like as it gives you different paths to victory. I also like that you do not have to win through violence, and it makes you concentrate on other aspects of controlling a country which makes it much more realistic.
