Advantages: Fun to play, deep strategy is easy to pick up and play Disadvantages: Lack of custom options, AI are annoying
After the recent spate of strategy games emerging on the Xbox 360 and other consoles, it was only a matter of time before the Civilisation series found its way onto consoles, while veterans of the series may be excited by this prospect; there really isn't anything to make them excited about.
Just like any other Civilisation game, you start in the Stone Age and have to slowly build your way up to be the greatest civilisation in the world. Unlike ... ...the action if you or the enemy are making a huge attack which would usually be fun to play on a real time strategy game. You can win by doing any of 4 different things, by domination where you have to aggressively capture enemy capital cities, by Economic where you have built up a massive amount of gold and then built the World Bank wonder in a city, by Cultural where you have had some many Great People and then built the United Nations wonder in ...

Advantages: Easier for younger players, quicker games. Disadvantages: Dumb-downed controls, small world sizes, tedious gameplay, limited units.
Sid Meier’s Civilisation series has attracted a huge fan base over the years. The PC games have long been established chart toppers and so it was only a matter of time before a console version of Civilisation was developed. And so here we have it, Civilisation: Revolution and boy is it a disappointment. Review of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution (Xbox 360)
Advantages: Turn-based game allows for more relaxation Disadvantages: Does get boring after a while.

There are numerous ways to do this which I like as it gives you different paths to victory. I also like that you do not have to win through violence, and it makes you concentrate on other aspects of controlling a country which makes it much more realistic. There is a tutorial you can you use if you haven't used ... ...the game is capable of. The game can be a bit overwhelming to begin with but once you understand it it should be enjoyable. The animated world leaders on the game do look fantastic but I feel that the game isn't pushing the Xbox's graphics capapbiliy. However I don't think this detracts from the game as the graphics do not need to be amazing to make the game; the game play is more important. The sounds from the game are good and depict what they ...

Overall, I have given Sid Meier's Civilization: Revolution 4/5. It is a great game, really fun to play and can get really quite addictive but for it to be better they need to sort out some of the issues I mentioned above. ...
