Stay Mobile Review ofSiemens A60by

Advantages: Easy to use, colour screen, good battery life. Disadvantages: freezes sometimes, prehistoric in relation to other phones, lack of up to date features
...and video features, then the Siemens A60 is not for you. However, if you want a cheap phone that does the job, i.e. you can make phone calls and send texts, then this phone could be a good choice for those on a limited budget.
Polyphonic ring tones and vibration alert are impressive features; however, it does not possess a ring tone composer like some mobile phones. It features a clock, an alarm clock, and a calculator, and its large capacity is ...

Advantages: Value for money, colour screen, easy to use Disadvantages: The cancel button
I recently purchased my siemens A60 at the link. It was £60 on the orange network and included 5 texts free per day for a year. If you buy the text saver deal on other phones it costs £20 a year, so to get it free made the phone even more value for money.
Setting up my phone was relatively easy, with easy to follow instructions in the booklet. I did try to set it up online on the orange site but had problems as it kept restarting. When I rang the ...

Advantages: A well built, reliable, cheap phone with a reasonable set of features Disadvantages: Quite an embarrassment to be seen with.
I've had this phone for two years. It was my first phone, and apart from an old Nokia I use sometimes, it's my only phone.
I'm obviously very happy with it. My parents bought me it as an entry level phone for about £50-£60.00 with Orange Pay as you go.
Good points
Sturdy phone. I've had it for two years and dropped it so many times. It's survived everything. It even survived a swim in the bath - it kept worryingly overheating for over a week ...

Advantages: Just a basic phone Disadvantages: None
...have one lol. Tis the Siemens A60 which I am going to tell you about now.
I only just came into mobile technology a couple of months ago and didn't want a complicated phone as I was just wanting it for emergency purposes. So I went onto Ebay with and a friend advised me on this one so I put a bid in and got it for £15.
When it arrived it was practically brand new and still had box and instruction manual etc. and was linked up to Virgin Mobile. ...

I got this phone as a present to replace my old phone. It's a plain model with no fancy features but I wouldn't use a camera anyway so that's no loss.
The phone is larger than many on the market now but is still pretty small. It has a small battery so feels very light. It has quite a large colour display screen which is easy to ready text messages on and shows about 6 lines of text at a time. The buttons are a good size and spaced out so they're ...

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Cheap feel, reception, ease of use, wait times
...I have chatted with other Siemens owners, who, interestingly, have the same complaint, regardless of signal provider.
What I need (& you can call me old fashioned here) is a cheap pay-as-you-go phone that makes phone calls & is easy + fast to use.
Cheap it may be, but the A60 was no cheaper than my old Sagem & does the job a sight poorer.
Oh yes - some of the buttons are not very positive either.
I will return to Sagem when I next find ...

...and has converted me to siemens for life. I previously used Nokia's because of their popular features and designs however this phone is equally packed full of great features and looks great.
This compact phone is the perfect size to place in your pocket or handbag. It has a very clear colour picture screen which displays all the information you might need at first glance. In the top left hand corner is the reception guage, in top centre is the ...

Advantages: Cheap, buttons are nicely spaced out but very little else Disadvantages: Battery life, screen quality, texting format, cheap Feel
I was given this phone as a work mobile and have disliked it since i received it.
I am used to nokia phones and currently own a 6230 which is vastly better.
This phone has has various features which bug you after a time.
1) The battery life is appauling compared to a nokia especially if you use the phone regularly though it is ok if it is on standby.
2) The phone has a nasty cheap feel to it. The casing is cheap hard plastic.
3) When texting, ...

Advantages: WAP, colour screen, easy to press buttons, built in hands free kit, changeable covers Disadvantages: No GPRS (unless you subscribe) OR camera
This phone is a bargain at £49.99 (Amazon.co.uk)* and is worth every single penny. The phone looks good, it's small and compact. However, the only downside to this phone is that the battery power is weak. I have to charge my phone up every 3 - 4 days!! (and its switched off at night).
The phone has a host of features including games, EMS, wap, alarm clock, diary etc. You can buy changeable covers and keys for it too.
The phone can over 150 phone ...

Advantages: Robust Disadvantages: slow to switch on-key lock is unreliable
...all 3 phones in the Siemens series the A65,A60 and the A31. Also the old C35.
I found the A60 the easiest to use it is slightly larger than the A65 and the A31. The charger and battery is compatable with the A65. I found the A60 to be more robust than other phones having dropped it a few times it does not seem to damage easily like other phones. It recharges in about 2 hours. The alarm clock is good and works automaticaly without haveing to leave ...

Advantages: Compact, colour screen, GPRS, polyphonic ringtones. Disadvantages: no camera
My Siemens A60 cost me £80 at christmas and I have only just sold it!
The A60 is a good little phone being compact and easy to use, the pictured menus are easy to navigate through with the directional pad in the centre of the phone.
It has many picture messages you can send to other Siemens users but not to other phones which is a bit of a bind sometimes. Some of the pictures are very basic and to be honest not worth sending.
Ringtones are plenty ...

Advantages: colour screen polyphonic ringtones Disadvantages: little in the way of games
The Siemens A60 may be described as a 'lefties' phone but this is NONSENSE. It is a perfectly functional mobile phone. You only really want a practical elegant mobile and that is exactly what you get with the Siemens. The colour screen and the long battery life are but a few of the features it has. The downside is that but there are not very good games but if you want a gameboy get a gameboy. The A60 is where it is at for mobile telephones. You have ...

Advantages: small and cheap Disadvantages: menu's and cheap feel
...phone is ok although the Siemens menu system after using a Nokia does seem a bit round the houses.
As long as your not looking for an up to date phone with all the bells and whistles then this will probably do it for you. It is however a Triband handset meaning that you can use it in a wider range of countries than most phones, which is nice!
Nothing special but oh so cheap!A good phone for your children or your mum! ...

Advantages: cheap, good options, works! Disadvantages: not very robust, very basic/old fashioned
...Virgin website to replace another Siemens with a duff battery.
I only wanted a very basic phone to make calls, i wasn't bothered about cameras or anything else.
the phone is quite small but not too small, the buttons are easy to use, its very light and has a good colour screen. plus there are other options like alarm and calculator.
there aren't many tone options but they are polyphonic.
For £10 I can't complain, I haven't had any problems with ...

Advantages: Cheap, colour screen, small. Disadvantages: Different button configuration than most for texting
I bought 2 of these phones, one for myself to replace my Nokia which had a battery failure and one for my husband. I bought them PAYG direct from Orange and they cost only £19.99 each. The phones are fabulous value for money. I have had no problems at all with it.
The menus are well laid out and easy to understand and use. The battery has a good standby time but quickly goes when playing games!
The sound quality when calling is good and clear.
Texting ...
