...week! lol) before choosing the Siemens A65. Is this the mobile for you.

Advantages: Small, light. Potential as a starter phone.
Disadvantages: A bit slow, getting dated.

...she surprised me with a Siemens A65 for Christmas, I had hoped to purchase my own phone for the new tax year. It's about a third of the size of the Motorola and fits comfortably into a shirt or jacket pocket. WHAT DO YOU GET? Mine arrived in a large red box about 2"x 6"x 10". Rather larger than the phone, I wonder why. Mine was carrying the Virgin logo (my choice of network provider - you can choose several). The box said made in China. The box ...
...ask questions. 3. The Siemens Mobile manual is produced by Siemens. This goes into a lot more technical detail with a description of the phone its parts & set up. The end section contains a detailed index, which is useful for reference and a menu tree. There is also some interesting data on operations and battery times and recharging. THE PHONE Mine came coloured red. I found the operation to switch on the phone rather to complex involving 2 operations; ...

A65 does the job but not so fast

Advantages: Small, lightweight, good size colour screen, good deal on Virgin at moment with extra airtime
Disadvantages: Bit slow for each function to load (or maybe I'm just impatient)

Could be that I am not so good with mobiles - only ever owned two (a Panasonic G520 and Nokia 8310 - power button broke) but I found it a bit difficult to get going with this A65. However my eight year old is finding it quite easy to navigate! Am now getting the hang of things and enjoy using the phone. It is WAP enabled and tri band, has predictive text and downloadable games (Stack Attack and Magic Picture are included one is a Sonic type game ...
...to get the picture to appear - I may lose the phone a the kids love these games and think it is a mini playstation!). The ringtone choices are quite boring and limited but you can download others. The sound quality is very clear. The colour screen is a good size and clear also ( a bit of a novelty for me anyway as I've never had a colour screen before). There are a few limited pictures for wall paper/screensavers and picture messages, not very exciting ...

a65 leave a lone

Advantages: very cheap
Disadvantages: not a good phone

The siemens A65 is a very basic phone it is one that you really dont want to have. Its the type of phone that you would give to someone at christmas or for a birthday if you dont really like them but have to buy them a present. LOOK The look of the phone is not that bad not to sure if you can get them in different colours but the one i had was red, with a bit of grey on there as well. FEEL It was not to bad a feel it is quite small and fits in ...
...buttons.Small enough to fit into your pocket ok. SCREEN The screen size is not that bad about 1 1/2 inches each way maybe a bit smaller.Very small if you look at some of the new phones around today. The bad thing or should i say one of the bad things about this phone is the display. It is very very bad it is not at all clear it just looks like a cheap effort. THE PHONE OVERVIEW It has internet but will cost you a arm and a leg to use plus its ...

Budget phone that does the job

Advantages: Long battery life and good value for money
Disadvantages: Menues need a bit to get used to

...text messages. Nothing fancy. The Siemens A65 does its job but not really more than this. It took me a while to get used to the menues. An advantage is that you can use the number keys if you know exactly where you want to go. The structuring is sometimes not really intuitive. Games and internet in the same menue for example, while the decision if you want to use GPRS is in Setup->Connectivity and not in the Surf and Fun section. All capital writing ...
...capital, then typing the first letter, then switching to all letters capital. Opening of some menues takes a long time and I don't think I am too impatient with this. Battery life on the other hand is quite good. The battery charges in about 1 hour and my phone has a standby time of about 1 week with light use (about 20 minutes talking and 10-20 texts). I tried to find out about a fascia but I couldn't find one. The screen however seems to be ...

Great phone for the price

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Turns off sometimes

I received this phone a couple months ago I paid 30 pounds at a retail store, which gave me 10 pounds on my credit and a 20 pound voucher phone card on top of that. The phone works as it is suppose to but once in awhile it turns off on me. There isn't much choice for background images or ring tones but that shouldn't matter much because you could download extras. The phone is somewhat small, probably average but is attractive also. The battery life ...

Siemens A65

Advantages: Cute, small, light, easy keypad, easy to use
Disadvantages: Not enough features

I got this phone when I broke my Sendo M550. I got the phone based on its look and the fact that it was only £15 secondhand. I only wanted it for texting and calling people, so the fact it didn't have any bluetooth or camera didn't bother me at first. I was very pleased when I got the phone, but I soon got bored with it. There isn't a lot to do on the phone, other than text and call. There is the option of having a camera add-on but they aren't very ...

Basic Mobile phone with few trimmings

Advantages: Cheap, Functional, Reliable
Disadvantages: Lack of additional features, fiddly menus

I bought the Siemens A65 from a retail outlet of my network provider to replace my previous handset , which had been stolen. At a price of £30, including £20 credit, being short of funds and needing a new phone quickly the A65 looked to be a bargain and hasn't let me down. The A65 does the basic job for which it was designed. i.e. it's a phone. There aren't many additional features to be found, which considering the somewhat haphazard menu structure ...
...standby the A65 only needs recharging about once a week, although as with most phones any form of usage does rapidly use the battery power. Whlst over the past year the screen has become a little scratched the phone continues to function relaibly. At a net cost of £10, I'm delighted with my purchase/ ...
