...was she gave me a Siemens C25 to love in the place of my Savvy, I wasn’t actually too impressed to be honest, it looked boxy and a bit plastic, not as nice as my blue Savvy. But it was very light and to be honest its not actually a bad phone. So here is what it does · It has dual band operation which apparently means the phone can operate in foriegn countries using the back up frequency, the operating frequencies are 900 MHz and 1800 MHz

...the Fiddly Ericsson and the Siemens which cant be described any other way from boring. Well this is a complete exception. The C25 isn’t boring in any shape or form. I bought the C25 because it looks such a fun phone at a reasonable price.
I first owned a Siemens S6 which is a brick. I owned the S6 about 2-3 year ago and proved trouble free. I choose siemens as it was recommended by carphone warehouse and all the phones were the same back then.
... ...value for money like most Siemens models. Battery wise the phone scores nowhere as near to the Nokia 402 but performs to an acceptable standard. I’m a medium user of the phone as this is a 2nd phone for me. It will need charging evenly 2 days 3 if your lucky and each full charge will last 2 to 3 hours.
Reception Quality is not bad at all as good as any Nokia model I have used including the Nokia 3330.Call quality is another good point to this ...

The symbols are in very different places, however the letters available for each key are displayed ta the bottom of the screen e.g. for the number 3 key you will see D E F 3. THIS is a phone more suited to pay as you go more than to monthly subscription as it is a more 'basic' phone. Monthly subscription allows you to subsidise a more lavish phone.
Having said that, if you are looking for a cheap pay as you go phone, this phone offers a very small hand print for the money, built around it's tiny battery. Other phones around this price point tend to be much larger 'bricks'. Talk time is a impressive 5 hours though in ... ...standby is a solid 4 days (so if you power down at night the phone will last a week. Charging is very slow though, takes around 4-6 hours with the phone on.
Reception on Vodafone is impressively good, transmission and reception are similar to land line phones - the receiver isn't aware it's a mobile. Can't say the same for other networks though, but Cellnet should be good too. Compared to what? well compared to Motorola Starac 70, 130, V3688, A3038, ...

...and it's big brother the Siemens C35. However when it comes to standby time it offers a pitiful 100 hours which is the lowest that I have ever seen from a phone apart from Motorola's M3788e which offers 100 hours also, but we must remember that the M3788e is just 30-00 and the Siemens C25 is 80-00.
As I mentioned earlier the Siemens C25 is light at just 135g. As is standard with all phones it will store 99 names and numbers in it's memory. A very ... ...it's ringtones are actually specially composed by a host of top DJ's, which is a major coup for this phone. You can also compose your own.
As for network compatability, this phone is available on Vodafone and Orange. It's not available on Virgin and i've not seen it anywhere on BTCellnet or One 2 One so your slightly limited as to your choices on this phone.
Overall you have a very stylish and funky phone here and I wouldn't worry too much about ...

Advantages: It's small, light weight and nice looking. You can also write your own ring tones onto it! Disadvantages: No games, and hasn't got a changable fascia. But that's it!
If you want a lightweight, groovy phone that comes in a range of colours, then this one's for you. The Siemans C25 is a great little phone, which although is small has a large screen and it's buttons are still easy to manage. There are 20 ring tones on it, but if you're not satisfied with that, you can write your own! It's best if you know a bit of music beforehand, though. I must admit this was not my first choice phone. My lovely Samsung SGH-500 was stolen from my workplace and I had to replace it. I chose to buy a Pay-As-You-Go phone and stick a replacement SIM card in it. It was a competition between this and the Nokia 3210 but everyone's got one of those and I wanted to be different. This is a nice little phone. It's not the best in the world but it does. It has the usual features - phone book, text message, voice ... ...phone tones (you know, those REALLY irritating dance tunes) but you can create your own...so I did. I worked out "Genie in a Bottle" and programmed it into my phone, so you can be original with it. At least I'll never mistake my ringing tone for anyone elses. The Siemens C25 holds a secret, a dark secret. In fact the Siemens C25 holds many dark secrets, all along the lines of the identity of anyone who sends it a text message. Sure, it tells you the phone number of the sender but how many mobile numbers do you know off the top of your head? Other mobiles have no problem displaying the sender's name if they are stored in your phone book yet this is sadly too much for my little C25. So if I'm sent a text ... ...about text messages and the Siemens C25 does hold up quite well in other areas. Its lightweight and reasonably compact, which is always a plus, although its external aerial does increase its size somewhat.
The handset has a large screen compared to its size and its menus are user friendly. It also allows you the option of ten 'VIP Numbers' for speed dialling which is convenient but unfortunately other extras are quite limited. There is only a small ...

The siemans c25 is a very smart phone with little to show for in the looks. The phone can come in a vary of colours (but ive only seen two)nd thats the only difference between each one. Nowadays every phone that comes out must have changeable covers so that everyone can look different, and to express their personality. The siemans however dosnt, which is a blow for people looking to purchase a phone like the siemans but wont for that reason.
Enough ... ...with when you turn the phone on it does take a while to get signal and sometimes a while is to long to wait. The phone has two buttons at the top which one is split into two (so basically there is three) and with these buttons you can access the whole phone. When the menu bar comes up, it comes up in a line at the top of the screen and you can go thriugh it using the top buttons. PHONE BOOK:

I think the C25 is easily the best value Pre-Pay phone available on the market, at £79.99 it offers excellent value for money, for a stylish, small and feature laden phone. It has a very ergonomic design and fits in your palm quite comfortably when making a call. The weight of 135g is perfect - lightweight, but sturdy enough to take a few knocks.
When you switch on the phone you are greeted with an impressive intro screen followed by a more basic ... ...on the right and the function for each 'softkey' at the bottom of the screen. Probably the main selling feature of this phone is the special ringtones - 6 were specially composed by top European DJ’s. You can also assign a ‘VIP’ ringtone to selected callers. The phone is simple to use and has a good standby (100 hours) and talktime (300 minutes). Mine also came with a free handsfree kit.
The only minus point I experienced was the very small buttons ...

Do you remember the bad advert on the TV for this phone? It had a real dodgy bloke on it with a funny hat who thought he was a bit of a DJ.It also had his "girl" on it dancing around with a jumper that was too big for her.I reckons the latest tunes are coming out of his C25. Im sorry but its a nice phone but that ring is never going to be No.1 in the charts is it? Its a super phone though. I recommmend getting one as it has loads of features. Just ...

...weren't invented initially for the siemens phone, but for Nokia phones and then translated over to fit siemens phones.
*When receiving phonecalls, it displays the name of the person (rather than the number) if its store in your phonebook.
*When receiving text messages, it doesn't. Which means you have to know the last 2 digits of everyones phone number, just so you can work out who a message is from.
*Its aerial gets in the way, and I'm forever ...

There is only one possible problem with the C 25. Apart from this, its brilliant. When you recieve a text message, it doesn't tell you who its from! Even if the number is in your phone book, all it gives you is the number...hang on a minute, the whole point of putting numbers in the phone book is so that you DON'T HAVE TO remember them!!
Apart from this relatively minor fault, its an almost unbeatable phone. Some of the rings are a bit pathetic, ...

This is one of the best value for money mobiles on the market at the moment. It's nicely designed, very small but not too small and technically it performs very well too. There are all the usual features along with a ring tone composer and speed dial facility. Strangely the big selling point of this phone was the fact that some of the ring tones are composed by "top" dj's but it's really nothing to get excited about believe me.
With a contract you ... ...£4.99 which is an absolute bargain and if you're after a small but good performance mobile then this is what you want. It's not particularly customisable and this will bother some people although I'm not personally that worried by it. It looks black on the box, but the front is actually a very dark blue.
Screen size is small so not for those who send sms messages all day long. Generally good phone though.
