I brought the M35i last summer, almost as soon as it had been made available on Virgin Mobile. I was upgrading my then Philips Savvy to something a little newer. The first thing that appealed to me, was it's looks. The M35i is a gorgeous little phone. It is apparently shock and water and dust resistant. The Siemens M35i is a compact little phone. Slightly sturdier than some, this is it's 'unique' selling point, in a packed market, being waterproof and drop-proof (and I've tried this out many times.. dropping mobile phones being one of my more esoteric hobbies!). The first thing I noticed when I compared this mobile to my dad's Nokia 3310 is the solidness of it. And by solid, I don't mean brick-like. The phone is compact but you can feel that it's well put together. It isn't going to come apart in a hurry. The seams in the plastic don't give or creak if you try to twist or squeeze the phone.
