Advantages: small, compact and mine's orange! Disadvantages: no camera, crap games, fiddly keys
It's a mobile phone, it's small and mobile and you can phone people with it AND recieve calls, so what more do you want?
Well a camera would be nice, but for the cheap price (i picked it up for 49.99 about 2 years ago) you won't get that. Rubber keys rather than plastic would be good too - the keys are so small on this phone that it makes it difficult in the extreme when you can't dig a nail into one to press it. Another annoying thing about the ... ...pad that needs to be pressed in the direction you want to go, this is hard to with rigid keys. A good thing about the keys is that the numbers/letters glow red when you press them, so they can be seen in the dark.
Changeable covers would also be a bonus - apparently you can get them but i've never seen any covers for a M55.......My version of this phone is quite orange - with all the keys and the earphone in that colour and the rest is grey; the ...

Advantages: can be used as a data modem Disadvantages: bad buttons, can't change the case, short battery life, small memory, slow processing
I have been using a Siemens M55 mobile phone for over 3 years. It was my first cell phone but I can easily say I was not able to get what I expected from it.
You can never know the disadvantages of a product if you don't use another and compare. After using another phone I saw that Siemens M55 has many disadvantages and doesn't worth the money you would pay for it.
It doesn't have any free communication options such as bluetooth or infrared. You ... ...I think there are much better choices for the same price. Siemens And when compared to other phones, message sending and other functions are not kept as easiest.
It has a very small storage capacity (2MB) and you can't add any memories.
M55 is not the right one really. ...

Buying the Siemens M55 was my first departure from the Nokia camp and I've never looked back. The handset itself looks distinctive and well designed and compact. It does feature some annoying 'dynamic lights' which flash whenever you receive a call or message, but thankfully you can turn these off (though I suppose they have their uses - i.e. in the dark / at a disco!!). The battery life is a welcome improvement on my old Nokia 3310 - I can go the ... ...had any reception problems. It's a shame the camera facility isn't integrated - I haven't bothered to buy the necessary attachment (it doesn't come as standard) as they're relatively expensive and actually not that easy to track down, but if you're not bothered about taking photographs, this phone has plenty of novel features to keep you happy - a dictaphone recorder, currency converter, global time function as well as all the more usual functions ...

Advantages: colour screen, nice games, lots of features Disadvantages: battery discharges in 2-3 days, ugly ringtones
I've had my siemens m55 for about 3 and a half months now. When I first bought it, I checked a catalogue to see where it stands: it was a pretty good rating, 8th out of 400 or so.
Pro's: -a lot of applications, you can even get lost in the menus (that's not always good); -the phone book is very good (you have 20 fields to edit for every name; by adding a picture to a name, next time you receive a call from that person his/hers picture pops up on ... ...backgrounds, and there is an option to put a picture as a screensaver or logo
-the filesystem is really great: you can move, rename, delete files just like on a computer
-it comes with MMS, WAP, GPRS, e-mail module and for SMS it has text modules (pre-set messages); also you can send SMS to groups
-a lot of customizing can be done in the profile section regarding the ringtones, screen brightness, volume vibration and other misc things
-the LED's ...

Advantages: small , colour screen, java games Disadvantages: camera not built in, ringtone not loud enough
This is a great little mobile with java games and colour screen and loads of polyphonic ringtones and a ringtone composer. this phone is let down by its some what quiet ringtone. This phone comes with three java games and there are plenty to download from the internet. you can also send mms and email via this handset so it is well worth the money. I think this phone would be a lot better if the camera was built in to the phone instead of an added ... ...phone the camera should be included free but it costs anything from £30 upwards. apart from that the games are highly addictive and the phone has a dictaphone built in and a world time and a clock and an appointments reminder so you will never have to miss that important date or meeting ...
