Advantages: Small, light, fun, loads of functions, just genral genuis Disadvantages: Dunno!
Shortly after my Panasonic phone decided that it was going to stop working, I decided that I needed a new phone. Id been wanting a new phone for a thew months but now that my one was broken(by no fault of my own) I actually had an excuse to treat myself to a nice new mobile. I decided I wanted a SL55 so searched the shops and after finding the best price to be £200 I looked on eBay, where I then got my phone!
The phone itself is absolutely tiny, ...

“I Will Fly you to the moon and back if you’ll be, if you’ll be my baby”.
My dirty old Nokia 3310 was past its sell-by-date years ago so I have to admit to getting ridiculously over excited at the prospect of a new phone. So many decisions to be made. Colour, polyphonic ringtones, games, and camera, one of those flip clamshell types or a standard Nokia style? Given my self-imposed budget of £60 surely I had given myself little leeway regarding ...

Advantages: Super stylish phone! Want to look good? Just whip it out! Disadvantages: Easy to scratch, cannot find a case for it.
...I have owned many Siemens phones, even the earlier model of this sliding design, and have not had a single problem with them yet. I have also owned motorola phones and Sony phones (I will NOT touch a Nokia phone as long as I live) and have been dissatisfied with them, so I came straight back to Siemens.
Even though the phone is small it feels very sturdy and solid. Most small phones feel like they will snap if you put too much pressure on them, ...

...Also, whoever thought at Siemens that it was a good idea to have the 1 key as a space key and the zero key as the full stop and other symbol key...well, get a grip. Every other phone manufacturer as far as I know has it the other ways round. I was forever putting in full stops instead of spaces when typing out texts!
The sliding mechanism is simply horrible. I have tried the slides on the Samsung E600 and E800 - smooth as silk quality engineering. ...

Advantages: Looks gorgeous and is so small! Disadvantages: Breaks and scratches easily, low talktime
...this time I saw the Siemens SL55 and simply wanted it. Because I am not really a technical hero, the looks did it for me to be honest.
Looks: You can get this tiny beauty (length x width x height = 81.6 x 44.5 x 21.9 mm) in titan and rubin. It slides open and reveals the keyboard. At the beginning I had to get used to it, as the keyboard is different from a Nokia one. After you get the hang of it, it is easy to use. It has a colour screen, which ...

...features. I got this new siemens phone because i thought it would be advanced in that it would have most of the features that you would get with other phones. The phone comes in two colours in titan or ruby red. This was so that i wouldnt have to get a newer phone in just a few months time. The phone is quite small and is approximatly 82x45x22mm in size and weighs 79g. It has quite a lot of the normal features such as calculator, stopwatch and messaging ...

...decided to buy an SL55 Siemens mobile because of its size.
I hate heavy bulky phones that take up all the room in my bag so the SL55 was the way to go.
My budget was a little on the small size so I looked up E-Bay and found a refurbished model for £57.00. After a couple of days the phone died on me, so thanks to the dodgy person who sold me the phone, as I’m sure they knew it was broken.
I have now learnt a valuable E-Bay lesson. Buy with ...

Do you believe in love at first sight?
I had my doubts until it happened to me!
I know it's a silly thing to apply to a mobile phone but look at it!
Its sleek, slim design! Its functionality is fabulous! You can take it anywhere and it will work fantastically! Take it anywhere and your friends and colleagues will be doting over it!
I paid €149 in Meteor, for upgrade, but chance eBay, you'll find it cheaper PLUS accessories!!

Brought the Siemens SL55 from T-mobile at the begining of February for a very good deal.
The price of the phone in a tmobile store is £139.99. T-mobile had offered me £50 off any phone if i continued my contract for another year, which made the price £89.99.
I looked on the t-mobile web site and found i could get the phone for £69.99 if i broke my contract and took up a new one!! I phoned up customer services and explained this to them, and they ...

Advantages: small & sleek Disadvantages: cheap, poor R&D, bad battery
I was so pleased when I bunked off work for 2 hours to race home & unwrap the SL55 - I was happy for about 4 hours.
WHAT I HATED
I have used this phone for 12 months now, and it is not wonderful.
The screen is absolutely tiny and you really have to strain to view a picture or play a game.
The screen is also too exposed, it lies on a curve and attracts any object in your pocket or bag - it will get scratched very quickly indeed.

...when I first saw the Siemens SL55 sat in the palm of my friend’s hand – not because the friend was cute, oh no, but because the phone was so tiny and cute and yes, sexy!
Now I had been using a Nokia 8310 for over a year and although it to was cute and small and fitted in my pocket and handbag without a problem I was bored of it and decided I was going to change – what a change it was.
I spent an age searching around the internet trying to find ...

Advantages: Stunning Design, Light as a feather, Great size! Disadvantages: Software - if this was a nokia it would be the best phone ever.
I bought my SL55 through Virgin Mobile (an excellent service provider) at a great price a few months ago.
The SL55 looks great, its compact, light and will turn heads. It's generally quite well designed but I have some doubts about its durability - the slide action is cool but I don't know if I trust it not to get lose/break.
The phone does lack in features for those gadget lovers amongst us, the software is not as good as nokia's for example, ...

Working for one of the Siemens divisions, I get to play with all the different phones that the company produces, and must say, first off that in my opinion is one of the best looking phones on the market at the minute.
Its sleek, sexy looking fascia, available in two colours, ruby (as shown in the picture) and titanium (more grey really), and good quality colour display, make this the Miss World of the phone world. Unfortunately, just like some ...
