...when I saw the new Sight Training for DS on sale in my local supermarket. Ever curious (and being keen to retain as many of my faculties as possible) I decided to buy it and see what it offered. Intially this product seemed quite similar in format to the Brain Training package I already had however I was pleased to see that it didn't have the rather irritating Dr Kawashima but seemed to offer something slightly more serious. ...think? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have had Sight Training for about a month now and I still haven't got fed up of playing with it every day. I am certainly doing better with the tests these days but whether that is because I am getting used to them or whether my eyesight really is improving I wouldn't like to comment. ...saw a new game called Sight Training, with the same kind of packaging and design, I really wanted it. The Game itself: The game is made to strengthen your sight by giving it challanges and tests and teaching you how to excercise them to keep them fit and healthy as you do with the rest of your body. I bought this as I like visual related puzzels and skill games. However I feel this was quite placid in terms of 'skill enhancing', sure it has random possibly usefull on another planet or to another bored person eye trivia...but no puzzles. Somewhat average in method and 'fun'. It paces you through a series of basic 'eye workouts' and everyday you accumulate a 'stamp of achievment', which means you are able to unlock other 'secret acitivites'...yes.. ...
...as brain train, obviously not as taxing. So in that light perhaps 'brain' is better? ...I found the exercises to be repetitive, in either category you chose (the unlockables just vary on theme slightly) & not totally convinced it could calculate your eye age with a few 'the same 5' tests, which will age particularly if your having a tiresome day..this almost tests your concentration more than eye activity. But I suppose that is an effective skill ...
