Advantages Advantages Enjoyable and entertaining, provokes concentration and reactions. Rewarding to beat your own score

Disadvantages Disadvantages Music can be annoying, stylus not always reactive, not approved to improve your eyes.

The practice of casual gaming was a concept that had a huge growth spurt in the mid 2000s. The Nintendo DS was a major champion of this, with early titles like Nintendogs and Wild Crossing having a big impact. The DS latched onto the more grown-up individuals, with busy hectic lifestyles not having the time for a 3 hour gaming session amidst the pressures of work and family. The ability to play a little bit each day in bite size chunks greatly appealed, and so a direction away from virtual pets to tricky puzzles was inevitable. Sight Training came a year after the steamroller success of Dr ... more

Advantages Advantages Some good challenges to take part in

Disadvantages Disadvantages The Eye age I believe is totally wrong

This review is for Sight Training for the Nintendo DS console. What is Sight Training? The idea behind the game is to help you improve your eye age. Apparently we all have an eye age and most of us do not use our eyes regularly enough in terms of exercise. This game is aimed to make you learn new ways of keeping your eyes fit and well but improve your overall eye age at the same time. The question remains does the game actually work? The Game I began using this game a year ago and at the time my eye age was 60 and it was poor to be honest but I have to say in my defence that I found some of ... more

Advantages Advantages The variation of challenges

Disadvantages Disadvantages Could freeze on you

Who wants a game that actually tells you how bad your eyesight is and gives you ways to improve it? Well I definitely do, I wear contacts all the time and this game when I saw it for the Nintendo Ds was a must for me. The Game You begin by giving the game some details about you and you get to do an eye test straight away. The idea behind the eye test is to work out how good your eyesight currently is and which areas you are strongest. Once the eye test is finished you then get to play some of the challenges on the game. You have sporting options or you can play some puzzles which are designed ... more

Advantages Advantages Fun to do and does help with some skills

Disadvantages Disadvantages Would probably get a bit repetitive over time

Having recently bought a Nintendo DS and enjoyed the Brain Training I was intrigued when I saw the new Sight Training for DS on sale in my local supermarket. Ever curious (and being keen to retain as many of my faculties as possible) I decided to buy it and see what it offered. Intially this product seemed quite similar in format to the Brain Training package I already had however I was pleased to see that it didn't have the rather irritating Dr Kawashima but seemed to offer something slightly more serious. The aim of the package is to offer the opportunity to train your 'vision' and alongside ... more

Advantages Advantages a good cheap game to play!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Each days training is a ltitle short.

I got my DS a couple of Christmas' ago, and with it I got the Dr Kowashima Brain Training, the game is great, and although you never complete it in that the game ends and you can go no further without starting again, there are only a few of the little games on there, and it gets that way that your only using the game for half an hour each day. So when I saw a new game called Sight Training, with the same kind of packaging and design, I really wanted it. The game isn't by Dr Kawashima but has very very similar packaging as to make it look as though it is, whether it is made by the same company ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can make you tired

Sight training is another one of those great products by nintendo, this game is ideal for all ages and gender. The game follows other games in the series like brain training where you play games to make your brain stronger. So this game focus's on your eyes and co-ordination and by playing different games you can test you eye speed. Within the game there is several different aspects of Focus ablity which you can train on a daily basis and try and beat your score these are: Dynamic Visual Acuity - The Ability to clearly see moving objects Momentary Vision - The Ability to take a large amount of ... more

Advantages Advantages Improves Eye Sight - Health Benefits - Brilliant Price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Sight Training for the Nintendo DS is aimed at improving your eye sight. The game comes after the release of Nintendo's Brain Training games and has been based on the fact that we only use 50% of our eyes potential - not a lot. The game is of a similar style to the Brain Training games. The game is designed so that players complete a series of training exercise which will in turn improve their eye sight. The game was created under the supervision of Dr. Hisao Ishigaki who is a leader in the visual training for athletes. So how does the game work? The game works in several ways and uses hand ... more

Advantages Advantages Fun, might just work, a change from brain training

Disadvantages Disadvantages Gets repetitive not much competitiveness involved

Product Features - Their View Product Features - Their View Strengthens 5 aspects of the focus ability through simple and short training exercises. Endorsed by the famous Japanese "Visual Training" professor Ishigaki Hisao. All operations are activated via simple touches so anyone can train there focus ability. My View To follow brain training we can now train our eyes. The jury is out on whether this can improve your eyesight but I'm a believer in use it or lose it and reckon it might just be of some help, training any part of your body improves it so why not your eyes. Nintendo claims it ... more

Advantages Advantages get to practice tapping your DS pricisely & fast

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Repetitive activities.

I bought this as I like visual related puzzels and skill games. However I feel this was quite placid in terms of 'skill enhancing', sure it has random possibly usefull on another planet or to another bored person eye trivia...but no puzzles. Somewhat average in method and 'fun'. It paces you through a series of basic 'eye workouts' and everyday you accumulate a 'stamp of achievment', which means you are able to unlock other 'secret acitivites'...yes.. MORE eye training! I think its about as fun as brain train, obviously not as taxing. So in that light perhaps 'brain' is better? ...I found the ... more

Advantages Advantages Uniquely trains your eyes.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't have the addictiveness of Brain Training

Everybody's played, heard or seen Brain Training on DS it's the DS's trademark but now our brains have had enough of training its time for our eyes. Sight Training challenges our eyes just like Brain Training does with our Brain. It's also in the same format of mini-games which we have all come to know and love. Basically it's the same as brain training but for eyes. But it has moved up a level from to old black and white numbers to real life situations in sport. You need sight for sport, obviously, so you need to know what to use and train it just like body building and that's what this is ... more
