Advantages: Leaves skin soft and smooth Disadvantages: Takes skin off if you rub too hard
I have tried almost every facial hair removal product there is, as well as bleach (I found you could still see my facial hair but it was just lighter) and find that most hair removal creams really burn and irritate my skin if left on long enough to remove hair, or didn't work at all if I left them on for less time in the hope of saving my poor skin. The silkymitt facial hair remover looked a totally different take on hair removal, no chemicals or ... ...for around £2.89, about right for what I want to pay for a product such as this. The product itself looks like a mini nail buffer with very fine sandpaper attatched, the idea being that you gently buff away hair using circular motions. I used this when my face was free from makeup and lotions, and found it to be very effective leaving my skin soft and smooth. Advantages: no more moustache! Disadvantages: stupid holder , too harsh when new.
After reading the previous 2 review , i have to comment - as this product is fantastc -only If you get the hang of how to use it. So heres my tips
Firstly - dont bother with the 'holder ', as it makes it tricky to angle and by peeling the backing off the glue can get on your face , and this can cause irritation .
FOLD the strip in half to get a more accurate shape and angle to do the upper lip area. -- this also enables you to hold the strip and ... ...if you are pressing too hard .
If using it the first time on long hair , trim hair first , then skin will take less friction.
Irritation is less if you use a 'worn in' strip - eg - do your knees with it first! It is great for this area and causes less irritation than the body mitt for legs made by the same company.
Put cold water on skin first , and pat skin dry before using the silkymitt. Never use after a hot bath, and DONT RUB TOO HARD, be ...

Simply use the SilkyMit every day on the hairy are, rubbing clockwise first, then anti-clockwise, to sand the hair down. There is no need to rub too hard as this can lead to sensitivity and tenderness in the effected area. Gentle rubbing in both directions should work just as well and will last ...
