pushchairs When I didn't have a baby I never gave a second thought to pushchairs. I'd see them in the street and not look twice but now I find myself having 'push chair envy'. I will take in the make and model of the pushchair I see being wheeled past me and I will note on how comfortable it looks, how expensive it appears and whether or not it's a make I've heard of. When I had my baby I suddenly realised that there was a world out there which requires me to learn a lot very quickly and this included the importance of the right pushchair! I never realised they were so complicated with ... more

This pushchair we bought a year ago for when the grandchildren come to stay and although I like it for several reasons I also dislike it too and here's why. We chose this particular pushchair as it looked more comfortabe than the cheaper ones, it folded up quite small so it would be easy to store in the porch when not in use and also because it was by Silver Cross so a name which we were familiar with and could trust. The pushchair It is available in several colours, ours is dark grey and pale pink. It looks more comfortable than other pushchairs as the seat is quite large. To set this ... more

Silver cross is a well known brand in the baby world. When we were looking for a pushchair for our baby lots of people told us that Silver Cross is the best and so we were swayed by these opinions and we bought this pushchair. It was around 3 years ago now and it cost us £120 since then I have seen it for as low as £80 so you can probably find it cheaper if you shop around. I am glad that we bought it because it has stood the test of time and been very useful. Opening and collapsing it One of the difficulties with pushchairs is trying to open them and close them. When you have a child waiting ... more

    Advantages Advantages folds easily, comfortable

Disadvantages Disadvantages brake is not the best, rain cover also not too great

When I first had my baby I bought a huge travel system which came with the car seat, a pram and a pushchair. The wheels were huge and so it was always awkward getting through small spaces on pavements and negotiating shops. They were also really heavy so I decided it was time to start looking for a pushchair, or a stroller as they seem to be called now thanks to the American influence. I had always been told that Silver Cross is a name that you can trust and that it is reliable and the best on the market. My parents recalled a time when you were 'someone' if you had Silver Cross, however the ... more

Advantages Advantages Very Functional Little stroller

Disadvantages Disadvantages None noted- I am very happy with the product

I have admittedly been a pramaholic in my day. I've got two children and with my youngest approaching two now, I have been through at least 15 various modes of travel for the two youngsters. Don't get me wrong, I'm not rich, I buy and sell on Ebay to make sure I don't lose money on my obsession. However, as you can guess with my daughter being almost two, I have pretty much reached the end of my time needing a buggy. And thankfully my interest is waning too. We are down to two simple strollers now. The Silver Cross POP which I am about to review, and the Jané Sonic. One sits in each car for ... more

Bought this pushchair for Baby B once we suddenly realised that we couldn't keep using the travel system and she was indeed 'growing up' so off we went to trawl through the shops and try to find the 'perfect' pushchair for Baby B. I never knew buying a pushchair was so scientific but my wife had certain standards and expectations and once we were lookng at pushchairs I could see that they did all have different specifications and it was rather a complicated process! We settled on this Silver Cross Pop for a number of reasons. We liked the fact that it is light weight so it is easy to get up ... more

Advantages Advantages Selection of colours, lockable wheels, suitable from birth

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not that lightweight

Despite having a pram that I absolutely loved I have to admit it was a little bulky and not exactly the easiest chassis to transport and when the time came for me to return to work we realised we needed a small buggy for our parents to use when they looked after our son. *~*Price*~* I had a look on the Silvercross website and they were on offer at £85 instead of the RRP of £110 and since we have purchased ours they have now come down to £75. I had looked at alternative buggys but wanted one that felt secure when on the ground as I am used to seeing buggys that tip backwards as soon as the baby ... more

My daughter is now 16 months old, I purchased this pram when she was 6 months and have it now as an emergency pram, along with the chairs and a small table. Advantages Advantages easy to push, roomy, lovely colours and designs

    Disadvantages Disadvantages barely anything!

The Product ---- I bought the Silvercross pop bubbles edition for my 2 year old son, i had struggled for a while to find him a pram that he would be comfortable in as he is quite large for his age and most were unsuitable. I found this while browsing in Mothercare and i had to say it caught my eye straight away it comes in some lovely colours and looked pretty strong i had a quick push around the store with it and found it to be realy comfortable to push, as i am tall and the handles on this pram are high. It was also very easy to steer and the brake was strong. Good Points ----- There is a ... more

Advantages Advantages Attractive; lightweight; great value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages Handles are high; does tip up without baby in it (if loaded with shopping)

I have spent months researching strollers as a second pushchair for my little girl, before finally settling on the Silver Cross Pop. I managed to get the pink butterfly one which is so pretty too, although they do come in a range of colours/patterns. It is priced very well. Not too cheap that you're concerned over quality, but not too expensive to put you off. For example, the Mclaren Techno is over £200. In most cases, a stroller is a second pushchair; a lightweight alternative when you have to start balancing a pushchair and a toddler, and therefore can you really justify spending a couple ... more
