Advantages: More songs for me to be beaten at! Disadvantages: More songs for me to be beaten at... ;)
As the newest of the Singstar compilations this game became a 'must have' to complete the set. I can't sing. Barely a note, not at all, people leave the room when I try and no one claps at Karaoke .. I know, I'm pathetic ;)
But I love this game.
My hubby and I knew nothing about Singstar until his brother invited us to theirs one evening for drinks and we ended up turning the PS2 on.
I know it's abit strong to give such credit simply to a game, ... ...It's not my favourite of the lot, but it has great songs from Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte, Evanescence, Akon (great one to sing, will have you in stitches). and tons more. It's a great asset to the collection as a whole and a must for any Singstar worshipper. ...

Advantages: The mics are more sensitive, popular songs from the last 2-3 years. Disadvantages: Aimed at mainly the teen market rather than family.
Singstar is back with the 5th game in the series. And it's not going to disappoint any pop fans. The menu for the game hasn't changed, so the layout is easy to get along with providing you are familiar with other singstar games. The microphones seem more responsive with this game, picking up notes that on other games may have been missed to to poor responsiveness from the mics. The problem I find is...We have already had Singstar Popworld, so do ... ...rather than for good family fun due to most of the songs being modern, unlike popworld which had a few oldies on there. However, it is a pleasing game which will satisfy until Singstar is released for the PS3, or at least until they do another game for the PS2. ...

Advantages: Great fun, especially with a group of friends, addictive, helps improve your singing! Disadvantages: Not as fun if you're a wallflower!
This was the first singstar we bought; got it off amazon with the mics too.
Of course, first time you play a game you're bound to think it's great, but I have rented Singstar Original and Singstar Legends from the library and by looking at track listings on other singstars I think I can safely say this singstar is the best in the series! It's pretty much the only one where I know all the songs, with "Boyfriend" by Ashlee Simpson and "Bring Me To ... ...Have also got an Eyetoy Camera, which if you really want to be embarassed is quite fun to use, with the snazzy effects in action too! Even if you don't have an eyetoy, this game is BRILLIANT, the best in the series, and I was on it nonstop for days!! ^_^ ...

My friend has this and i have played it many times. Everytime i go to her house i find my self singing to some realy great songs sang by some great artists. If you have an eye toy camera its even better as it puts you on the tv screen,so you can fill like a real pop star.The songs are well known and all the words are up on screen,so no excuses not to have a good sing along. Its ideal for parties something to break the ice and realy get the party ...
