Advantages Advantages Instant posture improvement, no more back pain, more toned muscles

Disadvantages Disadvantages Being honest, tthey look a bit like a built up orthopedic shoe

I've been wanting a pair of Skechers shape ups for a long time, but could never really justify the £70 price tag to myself. However, when I last cashed out from Dooyoo, I decided I would put the money towards a pair as a bit of a treat. There are a range of different styles in the 'Shape Ups' range. However, knowing that I intended to wear them at work, my choice was pretty much limited to buying something in black. There were some rather nice quite girly looking shoe stlye ones, but they were even pricier, so I eventually opted for the 'Optimize' design, a sort of black velvety effect lace up ... more

Advantages Advantages Instructional DVD with some keep-fit exercises

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price, staff don't tell you who these are not suited for, could cause injuries

Well, now the Xmas season and winter snow is over, I thought it was the best time to get down to keeping that New Years resolution I made! I was looking for a new pair of trainers as mine were so old, (4 years) that cracks had started to appear in the soles. After frantically scouring online at the various styles and colours, I couldn't decide upon any of them. That was, until I found these... Being a skeptical so and so, with a brain made of science, I was rather taken by this products claim of, "...are designed to: Promote weightloss; Strengthening the back; Improve posture; Firm calf and ... more

Advantages Advantages make walking easier, provide back/knee support, make walking easier

Disadvantages Disadvantages price a bit high, not the most stylish design

One purchase that I generally spend more than my usual amount of time researching and mulling over is shoes, for two very important reasons: I have bad knees, and I walk a LOT (it's my favourite de-stress method, and if I can avoid other modes of transport, I'll walk the distance, even if it takes me a few hours). So at least where everyday shoes are concerned, quality is extremely important to me, as cheap shoes tend to fall apart on my feet rather quickly and leave me in a considerable amount of pain. What they allegedly do: A lot of us are probably aware of the Shape-ups promise: they're ... more

Advantages Advantages Comfortable, Do What They Say - Too many to mention

Disadvantages Disadvantages You'll want to buy more !!!

I had seen the ads on the TV on two types of sports shoes that helped you stay toned whilst wearing them. I did the usual web based research, and found that the Skechers White / Silver Metabolize were the ones for me. I work on my feet all day as a care assistant and don't really get much time to exercise so thought these type of sports shoe would be ideal. I've had them now for two weeks, and have noticed such an improvement in general well being, I find it hard to believe myself. I used to come home with aching legs and back and couldn't wait to kick off my shoes sit down and relax. Since ... more

    Advantages Advantages They work

    Disadvantages Disadvantages kind of flimsy

Isn't this what everybody wants? A way to lose weight and improve your health by doing stuff you are a already doing? That is certainly the reason I purchased my pair for a steep £85 online. Skechers are apparently a way to boost your metabolism, improve posture, promote weight loss, reduce stress on ankle and in particular knee joints, strengthen your back and tone calfs, thighs and buttocks. To begin with, it has to be said that they do work, you can lose weight by performing everyday tasks, but nowhere near as much as you would hope for. The effect can be felt on leg muscles instantly, leg ... more

Advantages Advantages They are comfortable & you can really feel them working!

Disadvantages Disadvantages They do ache the first few times of wearing but soon gets comfy!

I brought these a while back & i have worn them everyday nearly, and you can tell a difference to what my legs used to look like to now. They take a while to get used to because they can tire you out and make your legs ache - they did to me anyway! But when i got used to them they were the most comfortable shoes ever. I live in them. If you are after gorgeous slim legs to die for then don't buy because you will be disapointed BUT if you just want to tone your legs up then these do the job wonderfully providing you wear them the majority of the time because thats when you burn of the calories ... more
