...the benefits and features of sky - well at home we don't have Sky it would cause too much trouble over who wants to watch what - so at my second home (my boyfriends parents house) its a novelty to have sky. I've been a Sky subscriber for around 6 years now, and during this time I've had no problems whatsoever with Sky's service. I've not been impacted by any service outages, I've always received viewing card upgrades in plenty of time, and the billing has always been accurate. Disadvantages: ummm, you have to pay money for it, oh and the box has to be within about 5 metres of your TV. How damning is that?

I have had my sky digital box for roughly a month now and feel extremely happy with it - despite the few teething problems that seem to have occurred. The reason I am writing this is that I just read another authors review in which sky was slammed to the ground in a mesh of mangled box bits and torn cables. Time to right a wrong. ...have now signed up to Sky Digital. As you probably all are aware Sky digital allows you to receive many extra channels on your box instead of the usual and boring terrestrial channels such as BBC 1 and 2, ITV 1, Channel 4 and 5. ITV digital cost us around £40 per month and this was for all the sports channels and all the standard channels. Sky only charge us £37 and we every channel there is available. Advantages: Stacks and Stacks of television
Disadvantages: £27 a month for a lot of repeats

...Living, BBC Choice, UK Drama, SKY one and the Music channels, this just shows her more leisurley approach to life than me. I cant get enough of the Discovery Channel, Discovery wings and all of the other documentary style channels. The programes are often repeated though, which is a bit of a rip off, after all I have already paid to watch the program once, so why again? I have been a sky digital subscriber for over 2 years now and to be honest,if it were to go tomorrow it would be sadly missed. I could not even begin to imagine life with only 4 tv channels(I can only get channel 5 through sky). I currently pay £16 a month for the entertainment package and this includes the likes of uk gold,discovery,the history channel,cartoon network,sky 1 and mtv but to name a few.
