Advantages: a good book... Disadvantages: not scary :-(
...set of a town called Slawter may stir up horrible memories for Grubbs and Bill-E.
I really don't know what to make of this book. I think the fact that I had to try my best to remember what happened in the first book (Lord Loss). I was hoping to read the blurb of Lord Loss, but that's kind of really hard to do if you've already passed it on to a friend. So I tried my best to remember the storyline, and although I couldn't remember it perfectly, it ... ...with this series altogether, is the way in which you have to follow the characters. You want to read the first book then the second etc. all in order. And you can easily do that, but I reckon you'll have to do that one after the other and not do what I did which was read tonnes and tonnes of books in between the second and third books, if that has made any sense to you then that's good.
Darren Shan isn't too far behind R.L. Stine. They are nearly ...

Advantages: Everything possible from a literature perspective Disadvantages: Yellow is not my favourite colour lol
...Bec being the other Titles. Slawter is the third book in the series and rejoins us with our favourite hero, (Or at least mine) Grubbs Grady and his Denim wearing Uncle Dervish. In the first book Lord Loss these two fearlessly battled Lord Loss in order to save Bill-E Spleen's life.
This book for me was jam packed full of great stuff, really incredible. Dervish Grady having stayed to Battle Lord Loss in the Demonata universe has now returned, victorious. ... ...to make her newest movie; Slawter a huge hit. Swayed by Grubbs enthusiasm and a few other factors such as needing to get out of the house and wanting to keep Bill-E away from the lambs the trio depart for Slawter and one things for certain with atown name like that you can tell that theirlives will never be the same again, that is if they even have lives left to live at the end of this book. Once the group arrive at Slawter everything is fine, in ...

Advantages: One of Shan's best Disadvantages: Too childish for some.
This is the third book in the demonata sage. It however is the fourth chronologically. This is the direct sequel to the first book with Grubbs Grady retuning as the hero of the story! This series uses 3 protagonists that even though all will come to know each other in the earlier books they are separated by time. I would probably call Grubbs the main hero as it is he that features in not only the first book but the majority of the books from the ... ...total of 10!
At the end of the first book Grubbs has learnt many things. He knows there is a curse on his family where by they may become werewolves. He also knows demons exist, not only that but they killed his parents and his sister. Fortunately for Grubbs however he is quite a natural at using magic. After going to live with his uncle Dervish in the first book he meets another relative who he believes to be his cousin. His cousin unfortunately ...

Advantages: An entertaining read, funny but with a serious undertone. Disadvantages: Only available in paperback
I'd read the other two books in the series before and been impressed, but this one became my favurite then and is still my favourite after reading the entire series. The story was well written and cleverly put together from start to finish. In my opinion, this is the best book in the series, with its combination of lighthearted humour, action packed demon fighting and a thread of romance sown throughout the story. Characters are put into positions ... ...again, and their reactions to these situations are exactly what makes the story so good.
I think that the actual book itself is only available in paperback, so if you're looking for a more hardwearing copy you may have some difficulty finding it.
Overall, from my point of view this is a great book with almost no drawbacks, and one that anyone with the guts to deal with demons can enjoy! ...
