During my recent successful slimming campaign, I realised that the tastiest food, which was also likely to be the healthiest and most filling if I took care, was that which I cooked from fresh ingredients at home. However, there are times when I don’t want to cook, or am in a hurry, and a ready meal can be very useful. I was interested in the Slimfast pasta ... ...at two for £3.75, which is the usual price for just one. There are three servings in each pack. This still seemed a bit expensive to me, but then ‘slimming’ foods usually are.
I bought a Pasta Florentina (with broccoli and spinach) and a Pasta Pomidoro (tomato and herbs), and very appetising they looked in the illustration on the box. Florentina’s box has a green theme, Pomidoro’s a red. The packaging is undeniably attractive.

After eating, eating, eating, and eating and then not doing my normal 20-40 mile daily bike ride or any going to the gym anymore, I sorta added on a few pounds, well okay about 25 pounds or so. Slim fast shakes comes in ready available cans or milk shake powder in drums that you mix yourself. The D.I.Y. powder costs anything from £5 up to £6.75 depending on where you buy it. My local Vantage chemist always has it on offer of £4.99 where as Boots will charge the full amount. This will last you just about five days and you have to buy a shaker separate which is around £2. An old clean SMA tin with the lid works just as well.

This is a meal replacement which is supposed to help you lose weight or just generally keep in shape. The instructions say have a shake for breakfast, lunch and a proper dinner. I only used this product on a lunchtime as I dont have breakfast so there was nothing to replace.
There are two types that you can buy. The most complicated ones are the powder that you have to add milk to and whisk together. This will take time and isnt convienient. The ... ...have to do is open the can and drink. How simple could it be.
Inside contains 23 vitamins and minerals. Each one is around 200 calories or just over. So by thier calculations of having two of them that makes 400 calories and then have a 600 calorie low fat meal for dinner. In total that makes just over 1000 calories a day. As I am vegetarian and a very picky eater I dont get all the vitamins that I really should be getting. This gave me what I wasnt ...

Today I went out and bought two packets of Slimfast soups, these cost me £1.75 each at Safeways. The flavours are Seasoned chicken with sweetcorn and croutons and Garden vegetable with peppers and croutons. Sound tasty don't they? These soups come in cardboard cartons ... ...Each carton of soup contains three individual foil wrapped packets of instant soup. These are created by Knorr, who make other soups too. There are 23 vitamins and minerals plus fibre in each bowl of soup. The Slim Fast label now encompasses a variety of foodstuffs. You can’t have failed to see their products either on TV or at the local supermarket.
They aim their product at the dieter who does not have a lot of time to prepare elaborate meals.
I have used their products, on and off, over the last 6 years, with varying results.
I have not used all of their products, but have used a wide variety.
Their products consist of Milkshakes, Soups, Snack ... ...had with Slim Fast products was when a work colleague commented on the size of my behind! This prompted me to quickly do something about it, so I decided to go on a diet.

I decided to try and loose some weight before i go away on holiday. I try and keep myself fit, but i thought i would also go on a diet. I went and tried slimfast, and so far it seems to be working.
Although the weight is not falling off me, i have been able to either loose some weight or keep my weight the same since i started eight weeks ago.
Slimfast, comes in two different versions. There is the already to drink in a can, or you can buy the ... ...tried both, and have to admit i prefer the pre-mixed tins(which you have to remember to shake before you open them.)
They tell you that you can have a slimfast for your breakfast and one at lunch time and then you can have a full meal at tea-time. Each tin contains 23 vitamins and minerals and contains roughly 200 calories.

I am going to be honest, I had seen slim fast advertised and thought, ‘yeh’’yeh’, just like all the others it will never work, they always say lose as much weight as you want, and guaranteed to work, oh yeah.
But I bumped into a friend and she said she had tried it and it worked for her, so I thought well ok maybe its worth a try! So I went to boots to price it up and see just what ... ...with the diet.
With slim fast you get a leaflet in side it , and this has tips and facts , recipes , and a target planner , health hints , its very useful as you can see what you weigh now and target yourself to see how closer you are getting to your ideal weight.
In a 420 g tin you can get around 12 servings which is not bad at all, it also contains 23 vitamins and minerals, plus fibre, so it’s very good for you.

The liquid inside, I shall call it milk shake, because that is what it reminded me of. It smelt good and tasted delicious. It was smooth and creamy and it was just like drinking a chocolate milk shake.

Slim Fast is a meal replacement diet whereby you drink a shake for breakfast, one for lunch and then have a decent evening meal.
I was always skeptical about these thinking they would only work short term etc, and my fears may hold justice, but I am willing to give this shake thing a try.

You can get, chocolate, banana, strawberry, coffee and vanilla flavour milkshakes. These can be bought in ... ...dedicated.
The cost of Slim Fast could prove to be quite expensive. At 99p per can twice a day, seven days a week you are looking at an extra 14GBP, as well as having to buy for the family if you are in the situation.
Although if you happen to be one of those people who buy breakfast on your way to work and then buy lunch at work, it could be quite cheap, because a sandwich will set you back a good two quid a time.

...about it, and that meant SLIM (squirming at the thought)and as I dont like diets, also I cant keep to them I tried slim-fast. Now I had a mere 5st aaarrr to lose, on the other hand I could "Blush" forget that thought. My husband said could I just lose the weight in certain places but not my bust as I am abit large and I will say no more to that. Once I had started on slim-fast it was not that bad as I began to like all the flavours apart from the ... ...urge to snack was less and less as the weeks went on. Now at the start I was 14st 7lb that was in october of last year and now I am down to 12st 7lb thats a loss of 2st not bad for me as my mobility is restricted abit because of Arthritis. I stopped it for a while just to see the effect, well I was back to snacking again and I put a couple of pounds back on, but they are off now as I am back on the slim-fast.

...start each morning with a slim fast shake. I find them to be both enjoyable and filling. I do have certain flavors that I do and do not like though. For some reason I just do not like any of the vanilla flavors, but really enjoy the chocolates (of course) and the fruit flavors.
Second: For lunch I have a salad and a few crackers. I follow that up with a light snack.
Third: A sensible dinner.
***Always remember your exercise program and at least ... ...the product at hand:
Slim Fast shakes can come in two different ways.
1.> A powder form which you blend with your own milk. (I found these difficult to use and I never got them to taste right.)
2.> Easy to use shakes. (This is the way that I like. Just stick the cans in the refrig. and away you go.)
