...we still sell far more Smirnoff Red Ice than Black Ice - despite the marketing campaign. OK. Hard facts. 275ml bottle. "Citrus" (undefined) and vodka mix. Bottle is identical in shape to Smirnoff Red Ice. Writing is in black and silver (somehow, the bottles don't look friendly enough.....). Liquid is clear, unlike Smirnoff Red. ...am a huge fan of Smirnoff Ice so as this is from the same suppliers (well its nearly identical - lol) I knew I had to give it a go. 'refreshing', 'blend', 'crisp', 'clean'; yep, Smirnoff Black Ice is exactly what the label says it is - and more. ...citrus blend with triple distilled Smirnoff Vodka..crisp, clean bite'... I would consider that a very accurate description of the taste. It certainly has bite and I found it very refreshing. In a bottle (275mls) there are 1.5 units of alcohol. It looks like clear lemonade, but don't be misled. You can expect to pay about 1.25 for a bottle of this from an off sales, or supermarket. Smirnoff is one of the UKs most popular brands of vodka and its heritage dates back to the 19th Century it became popularised in the US in the 1940s when it was first known as White Whisky. smirnoff Black Ice is just a pointless drink. It was introduced to extend the product life cycle of the original Smirnoff Ice drink and lets face it, tastes the same. The product was launched last year in a blaze of publicity. It was advertised as a mans drink to accompany the ladies original red ice. I first started drinking Smirnoff Ice (Red) before the black ones came out. I loved the taste and smell of them and they weren't too expensive. The only thing was that they were a bit sickly. When they brought out the black ones I was slightly dubious that they wouldn't match up to the reds. However I was wrong - Smirnoff Black Ice was the best drink in the world in my opinion. Disadvantages: Very nice so you don't realise how much you are drinking

Having like Smirnoff Ice over the other drinks on the market WKD, Red Sqaure etc. It wasn't hard to convince me to try Sminoff Black Ice. I found that the taste was in fact a lot crisper and where as Sminoff Ice would sometimes make me feel sick and would be heavy on my stomach Black Ice wasn't the same! I have always drunk Smirnoff Red Ice until I got taste a friends Black Ice. I, like most people had been put off by the cold black and silver packaging, and as they aren't usually cheap when drinking in city pubs (as much as £3.80,) I tended to stick to what I knew.
