    Advantages Advantages Gets me drunk

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Gets me drunk

OK, I promised someone somewhere I would do an opinion on Vodka, I can't remember who as I was more than likely drunk when I promised, so to whoever you are this opinion is dedicated to you :o) To start with I have to say that Vodka is not my chosen spirit, it is in fact quite low down the list of spirits I like but I choose to drink it for a few reasons. One. Vodka is a darn site cheaper then Baileys, which happens to be my favourite. In my local pub I can get it for free, but don't try this, it's only as the barmaid is my best friend and I am currently the judge of the Karaoke competition in ... more

    Advantages Advantages Highly toxic.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Makes you go yeeeurch.

It is vodka and it will make you go yeeeurch, like vodka does. It's made of grain (like bread) and is extremely alcoholic (not like bread). Pretty much, broadly speaking and in due deference to those with more adroit palates than mine, ALL VODKA TASTES THE SAME. The only differences between those who drink Smirnoff and those who drink Tolstoy, or Cossack, or Yelstin, are a) the extent of their dignity, b) the depth of their pockets, c) the heights of their social aspiration, and d) the intensity of their toxic psychoses. The vital statistics of the S.B. (14-47-75) will leave you gasping for ... more

Advantages Advantages Versatile, Classic smooth taste

Disadvantages Disadvantages It is just vodka after all, expensive

Ok before I start I have to say a couple of things - Firstly ive been in bed for most of the week with flu so please forgive me if this op isnt up to my usually high standard (although im confident that it will be) and furthermore I could do with any sympathy you're willing to give? Secondly, ive just noticed that in the month ive been a member of ciao, ive so far knocked out 34 opinions and to be brutally honest, im running out of things to write op's about! Fear not however, Smirnoff blue is here! Firstly, excuse the obvious title steal from the recent Smirnoff advertisement campaign - I'm ... more

    Advantages Advantages Smooth and subtle

Disadvantages Disadvantages Stronger than some others - may cause 'unexpected' drunkness

I suppose for this one I have to admit to the world to being a bit of a Vodka drinker. I have tried many vodkas over the years with a variety of mixers and apart from a very special Icelandic brand - Smirnoff seems to be emerging as a firm favourite. When I was younger, the brand of vodka I drank didn't matter to me but now it seems that age has taken over and makes this decision by giving me an awful hangover if I attempt any of the cheaper brands. While the Smirnoff Red is reasonably good, Smirnoff Blue is soo much better. It's smooth and tastes good with a squeeze of real lime juice and a ... more

Advantages Advantages tastes nice and clean

Disadvantages Disadvantages gets me very drunk

Vodka has been my personal drink of choice for many years now, and it tastes great mixed with pretty much anything. Having drunk Smirnoff Red mixed with Coke every time I went out for years now I fancied a change. Having seen Smirnoff Blue label Vodka in the supermarket I decided to give it a try. Being slightly stronger than standard vodka with an abv of 50% (100 proof) compared to the 37.5% (75 proof) red label Smirnoff, you can really taste the difference. The extra few pound it costs for the blue label really is worth it, The vodka tastes more pure, it smells better, and if its getting ... more

    Advantages Advantages Get's you wasted

Disadvantages Disadvantages Tastes like vodka, expensive

I first tried Smirnoff vodka blue one night at uni before my flat and I went out to a club. If were going straight to a club we usually have a few drinks before we go out to make the night a lot cheaper and one game we'd come up with was vodka poker, a game that involves doing shots of vodka if you lose a hand. It basically means that a 70cl bottle of vodka between 3-4 people goes within 15 minutes but we figured that we'd try some stronger vodka and picked up a bottle of Smirnoff vodka blue. The first thing that we noticed other than the stronger taste was how quick it seemed to take affect ... more

Blue, yeah great... but have you tried the BLACK LABEL 40% number. Now that makes your lips tingle. Can anyone tell me what possesses a company to make 40% Vodka???? there is only one possible explanation... to get you very very drunk. I am actually sitting here now sipping on one right now (hence the short entry)... I have to say that it is (like the red and blue) a very nice drink. Vodka in all it's etoh % is a very versatile drink, for many a cocktail and additie to softdrinks etc. And you know what... it fits in with a whole lot of diet regimes.....LOL. It goes now very well believe it or ... more

Advantages Advantages great taste, not too sweet!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I was at first skeptical about trying this vodka as I not a fan of flavoured drinks but I did as I wanted to try something a little different and I am so glad I did. TasteThis is a great tasty drink which isn't sickenly sweet. I had it with diet lemonade and in my opinion, and the opinion of my guests, it tasted great. I probably wouldn't have it every time I was having a drink as I would eventually get fed up with it and I dont know how I would feel about mixing it with a different flavour of mixer but it worked really well with diet lemonade!PackagingI think the packaging is satisfactory and ... more
