Advantages Advantages Fab cream, that smells amazing, and is well worth the price...

Disadvantages Disadvantages I can't find any!

Well when I'm on placement I get the lovely problem of dry hands, due to washing them over and over in one shift I wash my hands between each patient - I darent count how many times I do it, but I do it a lot. The soap in the hospital isn't exactly the best in the world, as much as it kills the bacteria and germs, it kills off the skin on your fingers and I find my knuckles - so I try to spend as much time with hand cream on as I can, purely because before this course I had lovely hands and now they just happen to be all dry and miserable. So when a friend introduced me to Soap and Glory many ... more

Advantages Advantages softens and smoothens hands, locks in moisture, lovely scent

Disadvantages Disadvantages not quite as good as Endless Glove

I am a big fan of Soap & Glory products and although I will openly admit to the fact that some of their products do not live up the hype, on the whole, I love many of their products and therefore will continue to buy from their brand. I use hand cream on a daily basis and the one that I now religiously is 'Endless Glove' by the Soap & Glory brand, however, when it wasn't in stock I decided to buy 'Hand Food' as it was by the same brand and figured it couldn't be too different to the other one and even if it was, I hoped it would have been of similar quality. ~~What is it?~~ Soap and Gloryis a ... more

    Advantages Advantages Moisturises very well.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

I had read lots of reviews for this brand of beauty products but I had never tried any myself until late last year when I decided to buy this hand cream to try it to see what I actually thought of the brand because the reviews I read had been positive ones, so I wanted to see for myself what people were raving about and so when I saw it when out shopping in Boots I decided to buy it and treat myself. It comes in a really pretty pink coloured tube, it is very attractive to the eye in my opinion and the name Hand Food is very appealing to me because it makes me think it is good for the skin and ... more

Advantages Advantages smells lovely, leaves hands soft

Disadvantages Disadvantages slightly greasy at first

For my birthday this year some of my friends and family all had the same idea to treat me to some soap and glory products. I am a relative new comer to the brand and so fortunately many of the products I received were new to me, although there were some of my favourites in there too! One of the new items I received was the soap and glory hand food and I shall review this today. The product is basically soap and glory's very own hand cream. I love how soap and glory name their products in an often quirky way and I have to say I do like the name hand food! If you have read any of my previous ... more

Advantages Advantages Great quality, lovely smell

Disadvantages Disadvantages Smell may be too strong for some

I got this hand cream as part of a big Soap&Glory set that I received for my Birthday : ) I have the larger bottle (125ml) which retails for £4.85, but there is also a mini version (50ml) which retails for £2.35. The range can be found in Boots, Harvey Nichols or online from ASOS.com. Packaging I absolutely love the packaging of this and all other S&G products. I usually prefer minimalist packaging design which this most certainly is not, but I still really like it. It comes in the usual shape hand cream bottle with a flip lid that conveniently sits with the lid at the bottom so its always ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice smell, really good flip lid

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not great on my very dry skin

This review is of Hand Food. I am reviewing the 50 ml version (£2.50 at Boots), but it also comes in a 125ml tube (£5.00 in Boots). The packaging bears the question 'the most astonishing hand cream ever? You decide'. I have dry skin on my hands and have tried a huge number of hand creams in my attempt to combat the dryness. I had heard lots of good things about Soap and Glory's hand Food, so I had high hopes. Use, thoughts and opinions Firstly, the pink of the packaging makes Hand Food very feminine – my lad is a nurse and has a really bad habit of nabbing my hand creams for himself, the best ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells gorgeous, works very well

Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me I love it

Well, I have finally tried one of the products from the Soap and Glory range and not before time I hear you say! When I went into Boots recently the whole range was on offer at 1/3 off the normal price and since I have read so many good reviews about Soap and Glory here on Ciao that I decided to treat myself to the hand cream as it was something that I really needed. The full name of the product in question is Soap and Glory Hand Food. The Cost The tube containing 125ml of cream normally retails at £4.40 but with the 1/3 off this tube cost me just £2.93. The Packaging The tube is rosy pink in ... more

Advantages Advantages Hydrates, makes hands so soft, interesting scent (nice but maybe too sweet), good value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sweet scent could get sickly, those with dry skin might need something more intensive, tacky desig

It took me a while to get into the Soap & Glory brand, as I felt a bit put off by the retro packaging which I find a bit gimmicky and slightly tacky, even though many people seem to love it. I also had the same issue with Benefit makeup. However, pretty much every time I try a product of theirs I find I really like it so I am starting to look past the packaging and puns! I like to use hand creams a few times throughout the day, whenever I wash my hands or whenever I fancy putting a bit on to make my skin feel smooth. I always have one with me in my handbag. I had heard positive comments about ... more

    Advantages Advantages Smoother, softer hands

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not so natural ingredients and the price

Soap and Glory Hand Food: I recently purchased some Soap and Glory products from the Boots website and they had an offer where if you spent over £12.00 on selected Soap and Glory products you would receive a free 125ml tube of Hand Food. With the price of Soap and Glory stuff spending £12.00 was easy enough. Soap and Glory is a range of beauty products designed by the woman who started the company ‘Bliss’ which sell top of the range beauty and spa products. If you think Soap and Glory stuff is expensive you should check out the prices of the Bliss stuff, (£48 for an eyelash conditioner anyone ... more

    Advantages Advantages It works well..

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit over-priced..

A while ago I got a few items from the 'Soap and Glory' range of toiletries and cosmetics from a friend as a gift and within the set of items was the Soap and Glory 'Hand Food', a tube of hand cream which is described on the bright pink-coloured packaging as being a 'non-greasy hydrating hand cream with shea butter, macadamia oil & marshmallow'. Having only tried out a couple of the items from the Soap and Glory range in the past, I wasn't sure what to expect of the hand cream, although first impressions were good; the packaging appeared to be extremely eye-catching in its design, and I ... more
