Advantages: Sleek, excellent audio, good navigation Disadvantages: No blue tooth and iPod support
To my mind Sony is the safest when you are considering sound systems and there is no doubt that these guys does pioneering jobs as far as audio systems are concerned. I have always been against having a sound system fixed in my car because it tends to make me too cozy and vulnerable to possible mishaps. But ultimately I was able to convince myself that okay some times, if not always, you do require a music player on your loco specially when on long ... ...to keep my faith on Sony and decided to go for Sony CDX-GT620U. First thing that is very impressive about this mp3 player is its sleek and gorgeous looks. Impressed I dug into its features and here it is for you:

Advantages: Great Design, Easy to use, good sound quality Disadvantages: usb socket flap looks a bit flimbsy
...My Lust for all things Sony continued when I had to replace my old Sony CDX-MP40 head unit. The old unit was exceptional and had lasted me 4-5 years so my expectations were high and so far I haven't beed dissappointed but I guess only another 5 years will show whether sonys have improved.
But what I can say is as follows:
Sound Quality - very good, stereo output is very crisp and the choice of equaliser options is better. Bass sounds better too ... ...but I found all the Sony bluetooth head units to be rather ugly.
Price wise this model should cost around £100 which is a great price for all the features.
Finally the output is great - 4 x 52 watts which means with some good speakers you won't need an amp in your car unless you want to give yourself some serious headaches.
The only downside so far includes the usb socket which is on the front of the facia but behind a plastic lip on the right ...
