Advantages Advantages Being able to throw it out the window when i get a new one

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The whole thing

This head unit has given me nothing but problems since i purchased it.Where should i start right well at the moment it is deciding on what cd's it wants to play.Certain cds are put in and spat back out straight away for no reason,im not just talking about copied cd's,even purchased ones.It just ejects them for no reason so i try a different cd and ohh look it likes this one so it decides to play it,then i try to put the original cd in that i wanted on in the 1st place and it spits it out again. It also seems to decide at what level i should listen to my music at.Sometimes i am allowed to ... more

    Advantages Advantages mp3 playback

    Disadvantages Disadvantages poor quality construction

Having known the brand name Sony since I was three, I knew that that I wanted something that reliable and well-built. My CDMP40 was stolen and I had to get something to replace the silence in my car. So, after much research, I bought this unit in 2004 from Circuit City and picked it up instore, while in New York. Having worked with car stereo instalations (to car-show level and quality) this deck was my choice because of its mp3 playback capability and removable face plate. However, this deck was plagued with problems from the moment I installed it. While I was accustomed to the flip-down face ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, not too expensive and good quality

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I havent really had many CD players to be able to compare this too, but after having my MOS CD player this is 1000000 times better! It never skips, plays MP3 CD's, has a great range of settings and sound variations from Jazz to XPlod (when using with preferabl XPlod speakers) and it has a great radio signal which my MOS one didnt. It also came with a mini romote control which my passengers use more than I do! I bought mine for £89.99 in the Argos Sale after christmas last year after having 3 of the same MOS CD players all of which broke or didnt work to start with. These Sony CD players come ... more

Advantages Advantages Delivers high quality sound. Adjustable graphic equaliser.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Reads ID3 tags improperly. Buttons malfunction.

I fitted this into my car as soon as I bought it about a year ago. At first, this stereo was brilliant, it delivered high quality sound from the radio, CD player or MP3 player to the speakers. The preset graphic equaliser worked brilliantly and it also has the option of adjusting the settings manually to suit your speakers and the song. The initial setup of the was very simple. This includes setting the time and also the radio stations. I found the display to work well for the radio stations, but it failed to display the ID3 tags of the MP3 discs properly so i had to adjust it to just display ... more

Advantages Advantages MP3, ease of use, great output power, remote & stalk options

Disadvantages Disadvantages The price, no cd changer input.

I brought mine brand new from eBay almost 18 months ago for £165.97 inc P&P. You can buy them now from your local car stores for around £150.00. At that price its a great head unit with a lot of features, BUT dont pay over £160! This has been fitted in both our family cars, and has performed great, easy fitting, simple to use menu system, Mp3 playback, Sub (level control in meny system) or amp output at the rear (switchable by menu), remote control compatible, stalk control compatible, 50watts per channel, detachable face plate with case. I really like the way the motion blade cd entry works ... more
