...have now had my new Sony PEG-SL10 for about a year, and I have to say, overall, I am very impressed.
This is my 2nd PDA - my first being a Handspring Visor Deluxe. I wanted something that had a somewhat better display and had better memory expandability. And while color would have been a nice feature to have, it was not something I needed to spend the extra money on. The hi-res display is really sweet !! Letters are no longer "blocky" looking. It ... ...the ability to use standard Sony Memory Sticks, and 2) the Jog Wheel & Back Button on the side - this was a brilliant move by Sony to add this to the unit. Its like using the scroll wheel on a mouse. You just scroll to the item you want selected, and then just press the wheel.
My only criticism with this unit does have to do with the display. In a room with softer lighting, the display is a little hard to read. For me, this is minor because I don't ...

Picked up for under £30 from ebay, people are practically giving this little gem away. Sure it doesn't have a colour screen, proper sound or bluetooth and it isn't going to impress your marketing friends in the city, but don't overlook this reliable workhorse if you need to store data electronically and take it with you.
I use mine with a 32mb memory stick giving me 40mb in all, which is more than ample for your applications, addresses, shopping ... ...pda was made for reading, the hi-res display means no more blocky fonts, and the jog-wheel makes navigation a pleasure.
I've done many cool things with this little gadget including beaming phone logo's to my Nokia via infra-red, and even surfed the 'net on the pda using the web-browser "Blazer", connected through my mobile (again via infra-red).
The screen's readability is great (obviously helped by the hi-res), but can appear a little dark under ...
