...PC and found that the Sony CLIE Desktop (the office and synch software) would only communicate with Microsoft Outlook, but crucially NOT Outlook Express (this is a major pain for most windows owners who just dont need to purchase Outlook). With a little searching I found an alternative which, although not licensed or endorsed by Sony, did the job I needed it to do, most of the time.
My next disappointment came when I tried to send MP3s directly ... ...that it had to be "converted" first by the studio software accompanying. Not a problem, I thought, well thats what thinking did for me! Eventually, after navigating the software thoroughly it became easier, as is usually the case. I am not a novice with technology but I found OpenMG software to be needlessly complex to learn but functional once mastered.
Graphically this machine was faultless (until now, the screen has died completely) and I enjoyed ...

Advantages: Internal keyboard, expandable memory Disadvantages: Could do with a longer charge
...with the layout of the Sony Clie with it's easy to use keyboard, meaning less time spent using a fiddly sylus.
The processor is quick and the internal memory of 16MB is fine, and easily expandable - I expanded with a 64MB memory stick.
The unit has Bluetooth technology which I have not used as I do not have compatible hardware.
I have downloaded shareware from the internet and been very pleased with the ease of this as I am not at all technically ... ...found it exteremely easy to use and excellent for managing my life, sychronising my PC with the Clie has meant that I am never without the relevant information I need.
You can play MP3's on it although I haven't tried this yet. The voice recorder however is a very useful gadget and I have used this on a number of occassions to record memos to myself.
Gaming capabilities are also good and I have enjoyed some arcade classics such as Spy Hunter and ...

i always liked sony and have, over the years, bought many of their products because they were up there with the best if you are willing to spend the money, and this new entry has got some really interesting features.
but as i have been criticised for my structuring, let us start in the middle... or the inside. inside specs:
sony came up with another brilliant way to utilise the, still far too neglected, blue tooth technology. not only can you transmit ... ...200mhz running palm os 5.0. sony gave the little one 16mb memory and a 320x320 display. to increase the capacity and be able to listen to your favourite mp3 tunes, a usb port for memory sticks has also been incorporated.
one, for pdas, rather unusual attributes of the peg-tg50 is the keyboard. usually the keyboard is a sub-function of the display, which is accessed via a little ‘pen’. here though sony incorporated a good old ‘real’ keyboard which ...

Quick review of Sony CLIÉ PEG-TG50
I bought this several years ago as one of my many gadgets. At first I was overwhelmed by its features it did so many things and I put it to one side I had previously owned a Psion and saw this as the next step up. Recently during illness I had the time to rediscover its features and since buying the product have bought many other Sony products which I have also been very happy with and its easy to use the memory sticks in all products. If you get the chance I would recommend getting hold of this item. ...

...the crunch, I decided on Sony as the brand as I had seen them before, this one was stylish, in stock and just has such a good reputation overall.
Well, I was not disappointed when I opened it, charged and then ran. Since then I have been able to expand on the memory quite easily by getting a Memory Stick (128mb).
The slimline metallic look is genuine. Believe me, it's all there, you can feel the quality. It feels sturdy (although I personally wouldn't ... ...in when you add a Sony Memory Stick. These things are great as you just plug them in and they are ready to go. So upload some mp3 files and some images. Now you have an mp3 player with a photographic screen show. Great.
Now I walk around with all my photographs, some mp3s that I like listening to, e-books (with the addition of Adobe Reader for pda), games, full contact and content management and it's just great.
Get this if you are not 100% sure ...
