Advantages: Perfectly flat, Reassuringly expensive ;), Superb quality Disadvantages: Heavy and expensive
...you view it through a Sony Trinitron E400. Superbly non-curved from corner to corner, this monitor is a great choice for professionals or hardcore gamers.
Sporting a clear 19" screen, this Sony monitor is stylishly (if not simply) designed and has a good range of features. The unique navigation system may take a little getting used to, but it's a wonderful innovation.
This monitor worked straight away with my existing generic drivers in Windows ... ...the monitor to flicker badly, although the culprit was outdated NVidia TNT drivers.
Quality doesn't come cheap, and the E400 is reassuringly expensive ;) It takes plenty of desktop space too, but who cares? This is your portal to the Web.

Advantages: Very hi resolution screen displays posible Disadvantages: Physicly large and heavy.
...what was on display, the SONY CPD-E400 was the best totally flat screen monitor by far. It really dos make a big difference having a flat screen with no reflected glare. The range of screen resolutions is very large and they are all rock steady. The only criticism I can think of is that when you display a 100% Wight screen you can just make out two faint shadow lines running horizontally about ¼ of the way up the screen and ¾ of the way up, these are caused by the internal fittings of the CRT, but they hardly show up.
All in all a very fine monitor. ...
