Advantages: Good quality pictures/mpeg footage Disadvantages: Small amount of memory included
I bought the Sony DSC-P10 digital camera after plenty of research, which is a minefield! So many to choose from. Went for this one, because of the quality, 5 Megapixels, and from past experience Sony seem to be a reliable brand.
I was a bit disappointed with the fact that it didn't have a case included, (and my mum has since bought one that did!) and that the memory stick included was only 32Mb, but nevertheless I am really pleased with it's performance.
... ...two image quality options to choose from. By shooting footage at 640 (VGA) mode, on a 32Mb memory stick you can capture 1min 27 seconds of good quality footage. Using the 160 (mail) mode, you can capture 22 mins and 43 seconds.
Photo quality is impressive, and you have five image quality options to choose from. By selecting the 5.0 Megapixel (best quality) option, again on a 32Mb memory stick you can take 12 pictures. Using the 4.5 [3:2] Megapixel ...

...one's don't work anymore). The sony p10 was always recommended to me by friends and professionals as a good camera, so I went for it and bought it.
It is not cheap per se but for the quality photos you get it is well priced. It's a digital camera with 5 megapixels and 3x optical zoom.

Advantages: Easy to use, clear display, responsive, quality product Disadvantages: Standard memory stick is not big enough
I really love my P10 - having used other people's makes and models it makes you appreciate the quality of the camera. It's easy to use in fully automatic 'Point-and-click' mode, but gives you control over focussing (focussing distance), image brightness, etc. if you want it. It is always responsive - none of that waiting around for a picture to appear when you want to flick through your snaps. The display screen is bright and clear, and the rechargable ... ...taking pictures, or more if you're just displaying them. The battery is quick to recharge too - about an hour from flat.
The camera comes with a lead that allows you to plug the camera into a TV, if you like, and display your pics there.
You can also record movies on the camera, though these use up lots of space on the memory stick. I wouldn't recommend getting one of these just for this purpose. If you want to record movies, buy a video camera!

Advantages: FANTASTIC quality photos Disadvantages: Can be slow to focus
Before purchasing my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P10, I spent weekend after weekend shopping around, reading digital camera reviews online and asking the advice of friends. After a few weeks of searching, I decided that this camera was "Simply the Best". It's a decision which I haven't regretted. On 5million pixels, the picture is crystal clear and extremely sharp. The camera also has a resize facility, so that you can view your photos after you have taken them and risize them or change the pixels to a higher or lower quality. You can then save the new image and still retain the original image. Another big plus about this camera ...

Advantages: Excellent quality images Disadvantages: Shakes/Size can make it difficult to capture good shots
I've had this camera for just under a year. I purchased it when it came on to the market for a high price. It's a beautiful camera, the look and feel of it is great. It's light for a 5mpx camera, compact and easy to operate. However it takes a bit of skill to get this camera working for you - once you've mastered it however, it can't be beaten.
Everyone is different when it comes to buying digital cameras, I would urge anyone about to make a purchase ... ...out before buying/deciding. My camera takes a great quality photograph. However, on first use it is difficult to control, you need to have a really steady hand and patience to get quality shots... or a tripod. The colour and depth to the photos is second to none. I love this camera and would highly recommend it to anyone who is semi-serious about photography. It's handy to keep in your bag/car, battery life is great, I take photos in 1.2 mpx and ...

Advantages: Very good quality photographs, easy to use Disadvantages: Battery gets used up pretty quickly
I got this camera over a year ago, I think. It's pretty cool. I have the 3.2 mega-pixel one too. The only difference I've noticed is that you can have a better quality photograph. I tend not to use that size, though. It's like uber huge and a bit pointless, in my opinion. Plus, it takes up like twice as much memory. I used to think it was the best thing in the world, but it's a bit big and bulky compared to the newer ones now, and they take just ... ...out as much anymore. Oh, I broke both the cameras. Dropped em while the flash thingy was out. Actually, my sisters friend's sister broke the first one. Then I broke the other. But, exactly the same thing happened to them. Maybe it's a fault with it. Got em fixed, though, and they're pretty fine. ...
