Diamond review   Strike a pose darling...mwah!
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by srtom

Advantages: Well designed, Decent 3M pixels, Video and sound, Robust, Reliable
Disadvantages: Slightly big and awkward to hold, Only 2X zoom, Not fantastic quality video

...A big thank you to Sony then for producing the Cybershot range which is something you wouldn't be embarrassed to whip out from your trousers at a moments notice when the chance arises........ (apologies for the awful innuendo!) Trying extremely hard, and failing, not to sound like a certain young lady married to Brad Pitt, the specifications are very important when purchasing a digital camera so be careful not to get your optical and smart zoom's ... Great photos, easy to damage?
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by Fantasyman

Advantages: Great pictures, easy to use
Disadvantages: Easy to break, quite big

...Sony. There are many sony cameras in the cybershot range and I believe they are all fairly similar, except for a few minor differences in features. *Mega Pixels* This camera has 3.2mega pixels. This is a measure of the number of dots that go make up a picture. Many cameras are now available that offer as much as 8 mega pixels and 4 of 5 mega pixels are common. The more mega pixels the better as the pictures look more detail and more importantly ... Read review

Get on the band wagon
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by philj1875

Advantages: Reliable make, easy to use, sturdy
Disadvantages: Memory stick slightly more expensive, compared to other media

...electrical etc.) I've now owned my Sony DSC-P51 for about 15 months and couldn't imagine ever switching back to my 'normal' camera. The advantages seem endless. It took me no time at all to use - everything was set to automatic and has practically been so since. The only time I remember changing any setting was when I took my children to see the Tweenies Christmas Present - no flash photography. I disabled the automatic flash (very simple press ... Quality, Robust digital camera
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by mjwalker

Advantages: very easy to use, Quality pictures, excellent flash
Disadvantages: Bulky, poor zoom

...they are compared to the Sony cameras. The DSC-P52 is very robust as I can verify as have unfortunately dropped a few times onto semi hard surfaces such as grass and has fallen off my desk a lot of times. Fortunately haven't dropped from any great heights onto hard surface yet and not going to try it either now my 12month warranty is over. I bought it for about £180 of internet website www.pixmania.co.uk in the bundle included 4 AA rechargeable ... Read review

Cheap camera for begginers
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by willtobill

Advantages: Great picture quality, easy to use, price.
Disadvantages: Bulky and big, only 2x zoom.

...But if you have other sony products you can use the memory cards with them. The USB connectivity is very easy to use you can either use the sony software provided. But if you have windows xp i find it easier to just plug it in and use xp's quick wizard to get the pictures copied on to my computer. The camera has a few Picture effects for a bit of fun - Black & White Solarize Sepia Negative Art This camera can also record movies using ... Read review

the reviews they were right!
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by bacterya

Advantages: Sound, charger, many options, I love it
Disadvantages: 2x zoom,software, personally it's not a problem

...good batteries. 2 - the sony batteries are amazing, it takes some 4 to 5 hours to recharge them. 3 - Movie Mode with sound, that has to make a whole lotta difference! Many cameras don't have sound and I can tell you it's really important as the movies you make usually are not so good (quality) and are short. The sound is good and helps lots. You can also take a still picture and record sound along with it (in case you wanna explain the picture ... Read review

Sony DSC-P52 Cybershot
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by peteratk

Advantages: Good Resolution, Smart Zoom, Rechargeable Batteries/Charger Included
Disadvantages: Only Compatible With Supplied Memory Stick

I have now owned this camera for approximately 4 months and I can say that I am more than pleased with it. The 3.2 megapixel resolution is more than able to be printed out at A4 size (obviously depending on printer quality), although taking a lot of shots at this resolution does take up a lot of space on the supplied 16Mb memory stick (I have since found an online retailer that sells 128Mb memory sticks for a mere £33). The camera has a 2x optical ... Read review

A great Camera For the price
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by richard.n

Advantages: Ease Of Use
Disadvantages: Maybe a little too big

This camera is an excellent Sony product, easy to use and learn displaying good features for the cost involved. The camera takes good sharp pictures, particulary outdoors where the pictures are life like. The different pixel resolutions are excellent and are especially handy when you are on holiday and don't have much space left on your memory stick.. The 16mb memory stick isn't much good as you can only expect to get 8 pics on it at full ... Read review

Great camera, but expensive.
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by tobuyornottobuy

Advantages: Build quality, brand name, ease of use
Disadvantages: Large size, price, software, zoom.

Ah the great sony debate goes on. Is it worth paying extra for the name? In the case I am afraid not. There is nothing wrong with the build quality, functions, usability of the camera, its just the price! Same spec cameras can be brought for a lot less with no reduction in quality bar brand name. I brought mine, new, about 18months ago for £175.00. Which at the time was a great price. But the cheapest you can get one now is £150.00 and that I am afraid ... Read review

Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by biogenetics

Advantages: good quality snaps, low price lots of functions
Disadvantages: lcd screen cracks easy

I bought this camera just before i went to an athletics competition. It was nicely priced had good functions and was much smaller than my old digital camera, Quality is brilliant and quick usb 2.0 connection is an absolute boon. Video quality is not bad, and picture quality is awesome, i also have an hp psc 1110 which produces fantastic photo prints. My only problem is that the ruber cover to the buttons does make it looks slightly tacky at the ... Read review

the good and bad
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by daz34

Advantages: easy to use
Disadvantages: blurry images

this camera has a lot of features for the money, ease of use makes it a great beginners camera, image quality on close up pictures was great, but found that pictures taken at distance of moving objects were slightly blurred, but have put this down to my own inexperience in digital photography,it really does cater for everthing on this camera, only draw back is the slightly limited 2x zoom which is a little dissapointing, but gets a 7/10 .the software ... Great value for what it is
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by joshuauaua

Advantages: Stylish compact size, movie clip feature,
Disadvantages: Low battery life, Storage for high meg pictures is low

OK so this model isnt the newest on the technological timeline, but for what its worth its brilliant! Lets face it, you only need a £200+ digi cam, if you are going to be using it every day, and really keen on capturing 'nature at its most awesome' style pics then go for it, but if like most consumers, you want something to flash in front of friends at parties, without shelling out then this is for you. With its different mega pixel settings, ... Read review

Advantages: Good resulation, easy options, easy to use!
Disadvantages: small dislpay

Sony DSC-P52 was my first digital camera! I bought this camera 2 years ago in Thailand and it is working good until today! This camera is easy to use. All buttons are on right side so it makes camera more easy to use. Easy to configure camera options. Picture quality is very good for 3.2 MP. For me this camera do all I need. Camera has video function which is very useful. Quality of video is good enough! I use video function allways when I need record ... Read review

Sony Cyber-Shot for the Cyber Age
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by jen21

Advantages: Very sharp images
Disadvantages: Only supplied with 16mb Memory Stick

...A minus point is that Sony only supply a 16mb memory stick but for around £40 you can upgrade to a 64mb or 128mb stick. This camera also has the function of short video action with sound, The quality of this is ok if not brilliant but what can you expect for under £140. ... Read review

Sony DSC-P52
Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P52 by barbster

Advantages: Stylish, respected brand, easy to use, long battery life, good quality pictures, easy to load onto PC
Disadvantages: quite bulky

I fully recommend this camera, especailly as it is now good value for money (www.amazon.co.uk). The quality of pictures is very good (3.2 mega pixels) and it is so simple to load them onto your PC, via the software given to you by Sony. Conversely you only get a 16MB memory card with it which does not hold many pictures, i would recomment buying a 32 or 64 MB card with it. The camera looks very stylish and professional and the zoon is very useful, ... Read review
