Advantages: Image quality Disadvantages: No camera case
I purchased this camera one year ago, for about ₤220. It was money well spent!
This camera provides high quality photographs, while also being simple and easy to use. The camera is also light-weight, compact and modern-looking.
The photos that this camera produces are of very high quality. The fine detail that is captured in each photograph is truly amazing! Photos can be loaded onto a huge TV screen and still be incredibly clear, with no ... ...can be chosen from the selection wheel on the top of the camera. Options include:
-Standard camera
-Night-time photos
-Night-time and people
-Snow
-Beach
-Landscape
-Groups of people
-Candlelight
The various options mean that a quality photograph is achieved, no matter what environment the picture is taken in.
The camera also contains a high-quality video camera. This produces clear film footage and sound. The memory in this camera is also ...

Advantages: Very Fast shutter speed, can make great quality movies Disadvantages: Can be heavy in your pocket with the batteries in, no AC adapter for the camera
This is my first digital camera since I have not long got into photography, and I think its brilliant. I bought it off the web for £183.99 wih a 256mb Memory stick since I thought the internal 32mb would'nt be enough. It comes with various presets for shooting in different locations, and also a large LCD display.
The shutter speed is very fast, and also the quality of movies that can be made with it are amazing. The only downside to this is that ... ...'fine' setting it can take up a lot of space on the memory stick, although the standard setting should be fine with most people. The DSC90 comes with a charger and rechargeable batteries which have a lifeline as long as 420 continous shots or 230 minutes if you leave the camera on. To charge the batteries from full it takes around 6 hours, and when you first get the camera this is what you will have to do. You can of course use normal AA size alkaline ...

Advantages: Fast shutter speed, a nice amount of settings Disadvantages: Bulky shape
...you! The only problem with Sony is that their memory is slightly more expensive than other formats.
The 3x optical zoom is generic accross most point-and-shoot digital cameras but is very useful none-the-less. This camera does have very good battery life - something that is less of a worry due to the fact it takes AA batteries instead of a battery pack. Replacements can be picked up anywhere if required.
As mentioned, the one downside to this camera ... ...as easily compared to many of it's modern counterparts, but this is what you get with camera's with AA batteries.
Overall I would say that this camera is very adequate for beginners to photography, with it's many different settings to fiddle around with. It's movie features and basic point-and-click modes keep the leisure photographer entertained also, making this camera a very good investment to anyone looking for a fairly inexpensive, good all ...

(+) Ultra-compact dimensions, fun automatic tools, good performance for the asking price (-) Cluttered menu layout, camera buttons are scarce, specs are almost identical to the Samsung ES15
