Advantages: compact, easy to use, superb pictures Disadvantages: i have no complaints
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W90 is a compact digital camera and has an excellent resolution of 8.1 megapixels. It comes in silver and black, out of which, I have the black. Both finishes look good and the choice would be personal preference and availability. For me, being a touch of a show off, I like how the legend, detailed in silver and white, stands out on the front of the camera.
It is a very convenient size of (h x w x d) 9 cm x 6 cm x 2 cm. It ... ...It weighs around 5 oz (155g) including the battery. It feels very secure in a grip and I particularly like how it comes with a view finder and an LCD screen as I find it hard to set up a shot using just the LCD- too many years of habit to be overcome. The LCD screen I find useful for checking my shots and it’s plenty big enough to look at the video files, being around 6 cm.
Everything on the camera is well laid out, as you would expect from a Sony. ...

...stands out and the actual Sony brand name. Once they see the range and quality of the features, many are hooked and cannot help but fall in love with it. Personally, I think it is a great example of how digital photography has been brought to the masses, but feel that it is a little too basic for my own needs, hence my experience will be given from the demonstrations I have performed for customers. A brand new Cyber-shot DSC-W90 ... ...As it is a Sony product you can expect to find many an online retailer battling out and driving prices down. Where I work we have this on sale for £175, but as with most things these days, a quick look around the Internet will result in bargains to be found and second hand models can be found on several auction sites for less than £100. Advantages: Great Quality Pictures Disadvantages: Sound Quality Sometimes Not The Best
I recently purchased the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W90 for £199.99. The Camera I bought came in silver but it also comes in black.
Its a small, lightweight and compact digital camera. I think it looks great and is a handy little gadget.
Let me give you a run down of the specification and some of the features:
Audio Input:
The DSC-W90 has a built in microphone which is handy, However if its a blustery day the sound quality on video playback isn't great ... ...have always been impressed by Sony in this area.
Lens: The DSC-W90 has a Aspherical Lens and Built in Lens Shield and a Focal Length of 35mm - 105mm and an Automatic Focus Adjustment Feature, Which all adds to great quality snaps.
Video Input:
Digital Video Format - MPEG VX
Features - Auto power save, Built-in speaker, Digital noise reduction, Face detection, In-camera red-eye removal, PictBridge support, USB 2.0 compatibility

Advantages: Light Weight, Face Detection, HD Rich Colours, Fast and Good Quality. Disadvantages: Lack of Manual Mode
I purchased this camera the month that it was released in the UK. So having had it a few months what do I think...
Well, for a start it beats my old Minolta hands down. It's light weight and a decent size, so sits in my hand quite nicely. And looks rather fetching in black!
Upon turning it on it becomes pretty clear how you go about using the device. For the less technical amoung us, the selector wheel cycles through the preset options for the ... ...standard setting 'little green box' could be classed as 'simple mode' and is where the new technology of Face Detection comes into play. It's quite novel (sadly the novelty hasnt worn off even after sitting infront of the tv to see if the camera detects people on the box)....(which is does!) and means that most faces within the frame are perfectly focused. Useful for a group photo.

The Sony DSC W90 is one of the cheaper pocket sized cameras. Its strong points include ease of use. This camera is one for the shortlist if you are looking for a camera you can slip into your pocket, but you don't really want to spend all your pocket money. The DSC W90 is aimed at someone looking to take the normal range of snapshots on holiday and at all the usual social occasions. This camera has a 8 Megapixels and a 3 times ... ...(WHD, in inches) and weighs 5.2 ounces, including battery and Memory Stick Duo card. It's easy to slip this one in your pocket, and as the old saying goes, your best camera is the one you have with you. When i got one it came with the basics (sans memory card and HD cable). Although the camera has 31MB of internal memory, budget another £25 for a 512 MB card. You'll get the camera, wrist strap, battery/charger, hydra-headed cable, and software CD-ROM ...

Advantages: the only advantage is that is can take pictures. Disadvantages: i think this space woudnt fit to write all the disadvantages!!!
...my opinion is that all sony cyber shot cameras are not good cameras and very expensive, because i have know many who bought this camera tell me that these sony cameras are bad cameras. Please do not buy this camera, is has to many disadvantages.
Buy a camera that has a battery with it, so you dont need to spend a lot of money for batteries!!! ...

At the front of the model, there is a subtle branding which isn't too eye catching or overwhelming and generally fits with the overall style of the camera. The colours available are, silver, red and black. If you slide the front panel of the camera down you will notice that the camera will power up and you will see a flash, the lens and mic and AF Illuminator sensor.
