Reviews - Sony Cybershot DSC-W200

From £ 195.38

The DSC-W200 combines the amazing detail of 12.1 MP resolution with high sensitivity for shooting without a flash even in very low light. Super SteadyShot image stabilization keeps blur to a minimum, a...

Only a couple (see review)!

The last camera review I wrote was on the fantastic Sony A700 DSLR and at the time I mentioned that Sony are still very new in the DSLR market, they are however very well established in the point and shoot market and the camera I am reviewing today (the Cyber-shot DSC-W220) is the latest in their...

No underwater mode

I bought the DSC-W220 model when my second nephew was born in December 2009, as my previous Sony Cybershot which was an earlier model had finally given up after four or five years of heavy use. I had been very happy with the earlier model, so when I went to Currys at Heathrow to replace it...

Cost, High Compression

I bought this camera to replace my 7 megapixel DSC-P200 which was suffering from excessive dust on the sensor which was ruining otherwise perfect images. I was attracted by the 12 megapixels of the W200, but upon comparison between the 2 cameras, it is almost impossible to tell the difference in...

Sony are a well known brand who manufacture a wide range of electrical goods, but are their camera's as good as the other things they make? One would think they must be half decent as they make several models of compacts and have even branched out into the world of SLR's. Here I am reviewing the...

Very good camera by Sony it's got 12.1 megapixels so it takes very high quality pictures and all the options and features available ensure you get great pictures. The price range for the camera is £157 - 220, i got mine from BestPricedBrands.com for just £157 which was the cheapest price i could...

I purchased this camera in June. It is absolutely brilliant. I have used it mostly on auto, the photos are extremely clear, no blur, a little bit red eye but this is easliy amended. The quality of the photos at 12.1 mega pixel is unbelievable. If you play back through your TV there is quite a few options which is great. The video and sound is also excellent quality. It is easy to download photos onto PC. I would certainly recommend this for a novice as is is very easy to use. AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT.

stylish, compact, pretty sharp, , excellent video ...

Expensive, ISO problem, can be fiddly if you want ...

Although it's 12.1 megapixel the images are not as sharp as i expected... around the edges it slighty softer. The images are compressed quite a lot which means that you have to mess around with a settings a bit (turn off the automatic mode). However It's very user friendly for someone who just...

Looks great and takes bright colourful picks.

none i can think of

I have had my W220 for 2 months now and i just can not fault it. It's light stylish and does everything i want in a compact camera, i have not seen any of it's rivals but as i'm not an enthustiastic photographer i do not think i would notice which was the better photo taker, i chose it because it...

Fiddly buttons

I bought this camera after becoming slightly dis-illusioned with my 5 mp Sony. The design, weight and feel are all fantastic, as is the picture quality. The only problem that I have found is navigating around the menus with the small buttons, but if you can see through that it is definately worth...
