I purchased the Sony HDD cam towards the end of 2007. It cost me just over $1100 Australian, (around 320 GBP). The camera is light, compact, with easy to follow controls. Although the model is listed as SR60, in fact the hard-drive storage is 30gb, and I've found that this provides more than adequate room for my needs. It was just a matter of putting the camera on its cradle, and transferring the digital footage through a supplied cord to the 2.0 USB slot of my computer (on which I'm running Windows XP Home).
