Advantages Advantages price, high picture and audio quality, appearance, resume function

Disadvantages Disadvantages may not come modified to work in your area, may not be compatible with you television

I thought I would share my experiences with you of using this Sony DVD player. My son bought the DVD player to take to university with him along with his extensive collection of DVDs which were bought much to my objection. Since he has returned from university I have been using this DVD player since the old one broke until my husband has got our new one so for now it is simply my bit on the side. In short I think this is a fantastic DVD player for the price. Here’s why: Firstly I think it has a really stylish and contemporary design. It’s quite a slim model compared to most other DVD players ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to use and setup, 6 disk memory.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages not multi region

I brought this for myself to use in my room, but ended up putting it in the living room! Its a great player and does exactly what it sould be able to do. Here's what i think... Firstly it has a stylish design. It's quite slim compared to most DVD players on the market and its appearance makes it seem rather slick and even up close you'd probably think it cost more than it actually does. So if you plan to have this in view, its not going to be an ugly sight! It has a very thin LCD display which is quite bright and fairly easy to make out. (You cant really make out from the photo). To the right ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice looking and slim

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the easiest to use

This dvd player came as part of a home cinema set up in our household. I feel it is a nice slim design and looks pretty nice with the mirrored front. This also makes the lcd display appear nice when playing discs. Firstly though, I don't not feel this this player is very user friendly. Simple playing, rewinding and navigation of discs is fine. But if you want to adjust screen settings, audio settings etc, then the on screen menu is quite complicated. After a while you learn where each option is, but the small logos used are not, in my opinion, ideal. The remote control does everything you ... more

Advantages Advantages Play and fast forward functions are separate!

Disadvantages Disadvantages £10 more than the other one i reviewed

Now i've just reviewed my dvd player and my parents paid £10 more for this one. I think the only difference between the two is that this one has seperate buttons for play, fast forward and rewind! To be honest it does look a lot smarter than my one as the buttons are all flush with the front of the player and it looks a bit more up market. But they paid a £10er more and i had a few drinks down the pub for that! Apart from the fact the buttons are seperate, there is absolutely no difference between the two. The remote is the same and still feels and looks a bit tacky. The DVD player still has ... more
