I received my Sony DVP-FX 720 as part of a special with my purchase of a Sony Bravia 40 inch television. Needless to say I was not expecting much. It was a nice surprise then when the tiny ice white unit arrived on my doorstep, delivered two weeks earlier than the promised date.
The device is really small, the screen and clarity is pretty clear for this type of device with a screen of 7". It is clearer than it at first appeared. The built in speaker ... ...of the unit) and the car charger and additional remote all work as expected. The remote is very handy and a nice little bonus.
This device is so handy and reads so many formats that it has replaced my bigger older and less useful DVD player. Less visible and more versatile, thats what I call technology advancement. Nice work Sony! ...

This unit is very stylish looking and small. The unit does not have a built in battery as such, it actually comes separately in the box and clips on neatly underneath but does add considerably to the thickness and weight of the unit. Dont worry though I was very happy to find that if you are using the car or mains adaptor you dont need the battery at all, only take it if you have no access to a mains power source.
The picture is great, no really ... ...not know it, very clear and colourful and pleasant to watch movies on. The external speakers are not bad at all, but with ambient noise you would struggle to enjoy a movie, however.....plug a decent set of headphones in and WOW!
Very nice remote, full function slim and stylish. The USB feature is a neat idea, I have a 1GB flash with a coupla hundred songs on it and use it with headphones, plays quite loud but does not have the best quality sound.

I found this dvd player very easy and versatile to use. It is very easy to turn on and allows the user to easily choose which av format is required. It is sleek and stylish and will look good in any h9ome rangine from medium to small. Its durable and the remote control operation is very simple. Advantages: Plays music, and It has photo playback. Disadvantages: This does not have any disadvantages that I can think of.
In my opinion, the Sony DVPFX720 is a great dvd player, the sound level is really good, it is also lightweight which is wonderful! and I can hook my mp3 to it.
