Advantages: Supports a number of formats, Affordable Disadvantages: Doesn't record
I purchased the Sony DVP-NS330 DVD player earlier this year and was, and still am very impressed. It’s a simplistic but effective player. I chose this player for a number of reasons including the Sony brand.
The player itself is compact and sleek, very attractive and slim-line. It is finished in metallic silver and has a fairly large display. The controls on the unit are organised very well. The player features a dial used for searching and can ... ...there are only six other buttons which control the basic functions, this adds to the simplicity of the design. The player has one scart socket in the back.
The remote control provided is quite large and bulky. However it features a large number of buttons. These are laid out in an organised fashion and help the user effectively control the player. The remote control takes two AA batteries (adding to the bulkiness) which should be provided.

Advantages: Good quality sound and picture, Slimline Appearance. Disadvantages: I need one for the kids now.
...good to be true... a Sony multi-region DVD player for so cheap! Well, that's what I intially thought anyway. Serves me right for not trusting amazon.co.uk.
Delivered for free and just in time for Christmas usage, the DVP-NS330 is probably one of the best beginner DVD players your hard earned cash could be spent on at the moment. Although a friend of mine who bough the same model had some trouble when her four year old TV was playing some of her ... ...player!).
As with most Sony products, the player comes with cool, crisp lines and the unmistakable Sony style. The build quality is good, although it does feel a little light when you first remove it from the packaging. The mechanism is quiet and efficient, and the LCD display is bright enough to be seen even through the smoked glass doors cabinet. The remote control is a little ugly (although easy to use and well laid out), but with the 330 model ...

Advantages: Excellent quality, looks good/ modern, can play most formats Disadvantages: Cannot play PAL in colour eg some extreme sports DVD's or old movies
...also connect it to a Sony stack which would be like your hi-fi or something if you don't have a Sony hi-fi.
It is a scart unit also which is good because you do not have to tune it in or anything. (Make sure your TV or other appliance has an AV scart socket, most modern equipment does so you shouldn't have to worry)
There is no set up needed, just plug in and your away, the remote even comes with Sony batteries... you cant ask for much more than ... ...are setting up a surround sound system with it... instructions are easy to follow nevertheless.
DESIGN - I think it looks really good, plus it is very thin which means you can fit it into smaller spaces without having to deal with a huge DVD player with all the wires in the world. That's another thing, there's not a million wires to be worrying about. It looks modern and I think it comes in silver or black so take your pick.
FEATURES - it does ...

...movie. I contacted Sony about the issue, and their response was that since it was "SO FAR" beyond their warranty period (apparently 8 months is SO FAR beyond a reasonable life expectency for their lousy product) that there was nothing they could do. They were also uninterested in the additional complaints I cited on this and other consumer review sites ...

...yet another one of my Sony products that i've purchased!
It cost £120 which is not bad as sony dvd players can be pretty pricey. Its really good, completely idiot proof, even my girlfriend knows how to work it out without too much trouble!
Its really slim and no deeper than the height of a dvd case. It looks pretty slick, decked out in aluminium or something silver and its been really durable as i cart it everywhere. The only issue i have with ... ...sizes, tweak colours and anguages. Features are on the light side but other than playing dvd's, i don't use it for anything.
It works just fine, never had any trouble with it and its pretty idiot proof. For a sony product at £120, not bad i say! ...

...internet, i came across the Sony DVP-NS330, it'smain attraction being the price tag at only £78.99. Personally I prefere most Sony products and in this case you do have to be prepared to pay a little over the average price for this type of dvd player, but you get the comfort that Sony are a reliable company and you likely to get a quality, value for money product. I think this item fits that catergory, not only does it play brilliant picture quality, ... ...MP3's. This machine is able to produce high quality pictures, great sound and an overall enjoyable experience. Its slim line shape means it can be slotted into small places and out of the way, but is atractive enough to put on show as well. It also comes with a fancy remote control with various options and menu settings including, zoom and slow motion.
When buying this dvd player Iknew i could expect value for money and quality from the well known ...

This was the first DVD player i ever owned because before that i did not think that it was worth upgrading from my video player but i can tell you that the extra features and picture quality are well worth it.On this particular DVD player you can not only use the standard DVDS but you can play CDs and DVDs that have been recorded(However you cannot record on this particular model). The one main difference between video and dvd is the picture and sound ... ...it is like watching the programme on digital the quality is perfect. However those of you who are thinking of transferring from video be warned dvds can be up to £20 for singles which lets be honest even with the additional features is absolutely ridiculous. This dvd has easy to understand instructions as far as setting up goes and how to use after being set up.The remote control has many features such as zoom which allows you to see particular parts ...

...I chose the brand SONY - becuase of its superior name in the electronics market place. I previously owned a Pioneer - which although lasted a little while, did not last as long as I expected it to! Considering I have had my TV and video player for over 7 years - I expected a DVD player to last at least half that time - which it didn't!
So far - I am very happy with the DVD player. It has a expensive look to it - depsite the low price. It has the ...

What can i say about this DVD player, well nothing thats not been said already, before i got this player i was using my PS2 to play DVD's however, i imported a R1 DVD 'Seabiscuit', and needed to splash out on a player with multi-region capabilities to play it on.
I did lots of research before making my choice, and i was certainly not disappointed! 5 minutes after it arrived and i was watching my R1 DVD brilliant.
I was not expecting to notice the ... ...boy was i wrong!
The sound is out of this world, and watching 'Seabiscuit' which is about a racehorse, i actually felt like i was at the races! The sound of there hooves was echoing all around me. The picture quality is also superb, Black really is black WOW!
I love everthing about this DVD even the opening tray is wonderfully smooth, this may sound sad but i have spent more than a few minutes operating the tray!
To sum up then, top brand, top ...
