Advantages Advantages Small, light, long battery life

    Disadvantages Disadvantages cr***y headphones, price

Quick Review : dead light and small, bloody good sound, long battery life, and easy to use. Shame about the supplied phones. Full Review :- I've just picked up my new DEJ955, after sending a DEJ925 back with a problem - HED.CO.UK sorted the problem in only 8 days - I'd recommend them. Anyway, back to the CD player. It plays CDs. It plays them very well. According to the blurb (advertising info), it will handle CDRs and CDRWs. I've just tried these, and there is no problem at all, which is handy, as I'm slowly transferring my collection of vinyls onto CD, so the CDR playing is important to me ... more

Advantages Advantages ultimate in style, very small and light, good feature set

Disadvantages Disadvantages pricey, included earphones are poor

I bought this for £120 as a replacement for my £50 personal CD, and the difference in quality is amazing. Everything about the player reeks of quality, from the tiny physical size through the stylish aluminium case to the small but very functional backlit remote control. If you don't want a lot of attention whilst walking down the street, this may not be for you! It isn't just stylish though - the feature set is very good. It will play back both recordable (CD-R) and rewriteable (CD-RW) discs - the latter is fairly rare for a portable player. It is very portable too - it's amazingly thin. The ... more

Advantages Advantages Stylish, excellent quality, good features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Easy to scratch, expensive

If you want style and have the money to pay out then the Sony DEJ955 is the thing to get. Sony has made this portable CD player the smallest and lightest around. It is made out of Aluminium, which makes it look stylish and very light. I have mine in silver but you can also get it in a purple colour. I pick silver as I found out that it can scratch easily which isn’t good when your paying out about £150 for it (the price has dropped slightly since I bought it, if interested then you should look at paying about £130 give or take some). The sound quality is amazing, as you would expect form Sony ... more

This comes with the typical Sony quality that we are all familiar with. It's design is extremely striking and the brushed aluminium turns heads. It is very well presented too - you feel quite special owning one. The Jog Proof facility is excellent and I was surprised at how much bouncing around it takes until the CD starts to skip a bit. The remote control that is supplied with the CD player is one of the best inventions. It shows you all the info you need from track names times etc. It's very easy to use and surprisingly clear to view. It has a hold function too which I think is essential for ... more
