...is perfect for me. The Sony Ericsson k300i is a dinky little thing. I've never really cared for top-of-the-range technology or spending cash on new and updated things when it is unneeded. Even as a teenager myself, I stuck to a cheap old phone which lasted me, using just basic features of just texting and calling. But to go back to that now, I wouldn't want to.
Upon receiving the k300i as a present, this Christmas passed, I turned the phone on, ... ...like I did ^_^)
Sony Ericsson Desk Stand (CDS-11) I don't personally have this accessory but it seems like a most useful one. Just mount your phone, plug in your hands free kit and charger, and you're ready to go, without cluttering up your desktop. This can be bought for around £13. Car chargers can also be bought for around £8-12
USB Cables - these can be bought for as little as £4, a great deal in my opinion and a most necessary accessory to ...

Advantages: Reliable, good battery life Disadvantages: Keyboard a little small
Overview
I purchased this phone around 18 months ago, having become fed up with the poor battery life on my previous mobile device, which often died after 6 hours post overnight charge. At the time, I paid £70 (which included £20 worth of top-ups) and I also managed to get £10 trade-in for my old 'phone, charger and manual from a well-known mobile 'phone dealer. The main criteria for a new 'phone was one that was stable, I.E. did not lock up completely ... ...seconds in order to get it working again and one that did not need the national grid on IV every 6 hours!
I did some research on the web prior to purchase and found that at the time, this 'phone had far more happier users than many other 'phones in the same price range. This was the major deciding factor upon purchase.
Styling and Practicality
The screen is clear and crisp and to my mind the colour scheme and design place it somewhere between ...

Advantages: camera/video-mp3 player-very reliable-easy to find your way around Disadvantages: buttons are to small-not enough memory
...appeared on dooyoo.co.uk***
The Sony Ericsson K300i is by far the most reliable phone I have ever owned. It survived through 3 washes in the washing machine, being dropped in the sea and even being hit with a tennis raquet (accidentally). There are many plus points to the k300i, just to start off. There is a brilliant range of features for a good price. The camera takes ok photos for the money you pay for it. And finally the k300i comes loaded with ... ...in my opinion was that the buttons are way to small. There about 3.4/4 mm height wise. Lets start off with the features. As you would expect from this robust phone, everything works perfectly. Even all of the features on mine worked fine after what it was put through. I did however think that the mp3 player was very useless. Judging by the fact that the phone only has enough room for one song. Why do you need an mp3 player? From experience, I can ...

...I decided on a Sony Ericsson K300i - it was a great deal from Amazon at £50 and boasted lots of features:
Tri-band phone Imaging Sound recorder Picture gallery Picture phonebook Wallpaper animation Picture wallpaper Backlight display Camera integrated E-mail Instant Messaging SMS long (Text Messaging) 4X Digital zoom Themes display MMS (Multimedia Messaging) QuickShare" MMS templates Video streaming Video record MMS Video EMS (Enhanced Messaging) ... ...can be purchsed from the sony erricsson website for around £3/4
Internet - the Internet works but I think in general phones have a long way to go before i would consider the Internet facilties to be any good. It simply costs too much (10p per minute) to find and read and info at all. The phone has infrared but I can't comment on it as I've never used it!
There is a calender, notebook, measurement convertor, alarm (which can be set as a one off ...

Advantages: Looks good (even though it's been superceded by newer models Disadvantages: Durability "issues"!
I purchased the Sony Ericsson K300i as a replacement for a trusty old housebrick of a Nokia 3310 and it cost me nothing because it was a contract upgrade (although you could expect to pay around £50 for an Orange Pay as You Go or about £20 for a second hand version via Ebay). The fundamental reason for my purchase was that this is a budget phone with reasonable levels of functionality (but without the price tag of the superior K500 or K700. My only real gripe is that the blasted joystick which is supposed to ease the navigation of the superb and easy to use menus keeps on sticking. (I've sent it back twice and twice I've been sent a brand new replacement handset).
Other than this rather frustrating flaw the phone is a superb choice for anyone wanting to escape the ...

Advantages: Affordable phone, simple to use Disadvantages: Can be fiddly
I bought this phone a couple of months ago to replace a Nokia.
I had initially bought another Nokia - on recommendation - which did everything and more, but decided I couldn't justify the expense. This phone was around half the price I paid for the Nokia and did everything I needed.
I was advised against Sony-Ericsson phones, as after a Nokia they can be complicated to use...I haven't found this to be the case at all. In my opinion it is a very ... ...I *was* initially disappointed because I *loved* the new Nokia I had bought - it was so sleek and pleasant to use...by contrast this phone was 'clunky'. The display wasn't so clear and the set-up was different, so I had to learn how to do things - with the Nokia it had been easier because it had operated the same way as my previous Nokia...but after a few weeks - and after coming to terms with not having a Nokia any more - I grew to love this phone.

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: You can feel it's cheap
I received a K300i as a free upgrade to my original lovely T610. The phone certainly looks good and has preserved the simple and attractive styling of its predecessor. It does not have a very wide range of functions, and is designed to be a good day-to-day phone without having very flashy specifications. Unfortunately, it comes without Bluetooth, which makes getting photographs to or from the phone a slow process if you have a modern laptop without ... ...pictures via your network. My main problem with the phone is that it has a cheap and plastic feel in comparison to the well-made T610. The battery cover is very flimsy and creaks and slides around as the phone is handled. Touching almost any part of the chassis also results in creaking, so the whole thing feels cheap and disposable. Overall, rather disappointing when it could and should have been better. The best thing has to be how easy it is to ...

...using phone. Its a classic Sony Erickson phone as always. I have to say the speaker of this phone is great because of its very good high sound quality for mp3's and calls. The Only draw back i had with this phone is that it was its memory, it has only 12mb of built-in memory so u cant store much mp3's even though the phone supports mp3's and 3gp video formats. Advantages: Nice compact camera phone Disadvantages: NOT all it's cracked up to be
Having just upgraded my old Sony Ericsson to a M/rola Razor, I could have kicked myself when my mother announced she would love a camera phone! The old Sony having walked itself into the handbag of a.n.other was no longer around so I looked for an affordable Camera phone for mum.
I came across the K300i on the Sony website which was one of my first ports of call. Having enjoyed and found the old z600 a delight I thought I would get the same level ... ...but I expected more from Sony Ericsson and I really am surprised at the lack of finesse of this phone.
It is an icon menu driven but the screen is really not clear enough to really make this a walk in the park. The menu system seems to follow the same pattern as my old phone and that Sony Ericsson are to be praised as it is logical and easy to understand even if awkward to see on this handset.
I have tried unsuccessfully to get the infared to work ...

I was given Sony Ericisson K300i mobile phone for a christmas present. Has I have been getting to know the phone it is great little phone for someone who is looking for a resonably priced one. The other thing which I found very useful was the fact that I can just put the Sim Card out of old phone in to this one which save time in inputting all of the information of my old phone on to the new one. the other great features are:

Advantages: Cheap these days, reliable and durable Disadvantages: Outdated
As with many others, the K300i was my upgrade from the T610.
I got this phone approximately 2 years ago, and am still using it.
It has a slightly smaller screen than its predecessor(T610). The keybad arrangement is very similar. Although the 'lock keypad' keys are now a slightly different combination.
The K300i is a solid and robust phone, quite capable of coping with heavy every day use. It has effectively been in my pocket (with my keys) for ... ...scratching and the paint comes away. Its still looking quite good for the use I've given it. The screen is free of scratches still. Feature wise sadly I feel it took a step back when from the T610 as it does not have Bluetooth. Sadly this means you need to connect it to other devices with wires or rely on the painfully slow Infra-red capability. That is unless you're prepared to pay for airtime to do whatever data transfers are necessary.
The camera ...

Quick review of Sony Ericsson K300i
The SE k300i is a good solution if you want to have conversations with your friends.
The built-in camera (0.3Mpx) is not very productive but it'll serve you some basic needs. The main problem is that the keybord scrubs very easy. However, you'll have enough space to store most of your contact numbers, including lots of details about them, the mp3-player (plays also *.mp4 if you downmix your tracks to mono) is good to play some tracks, but k300i has too few MB's to store files. The speaker makes pretty quality sound, so you won't be disappointed. ...

...after I left my previous sony ericssson outside in the rain. This is a great value for money phone as it includes the many vitals that are needed in a phone. Bought this phone for my daughter as her first mobile. It has everything you need, a camera to take pictures. Not a huge amount of pixels but she loves it, especially as she can change the pictures she takes. Putting her brothers head under a babys bonnet or an afro hair do. She records music on her phone to use as her ring tones. She can take video clips to show her friends. Easy to text and phone people this is an ideal phone for a first time mobile ... ...well. This phone is easy to use and came with some good games on it, she spent more time playing with her phone than her GBA for the first month after she got it.
She is slightly disappointed that she can not get a mobile phone cover with snazzy pictures on, her friend has a Betty Boo cover on her nokia but I can only fine four plain covers for the K300i. There are not a lot of extras available that I can find.
But she still loves her phone so ...
